That sounds great everyone! That's what it's all about- giving a gift to a new (or old) friend, and letting them know a little about you. It's a great way to get to know the folks on this forum in a way that we normally wouldn't do.

Thanks to all of you for jumping on-board with this and really getting behind it!

there's a bad and a good news.

the bad one:
in my LHS there are only airfix and, as many of you might know, the have raised panel lines. this will be a hard obstacle if the "only engraved panel lines" rule still goes.

The good one:
my mother will be flying to santiago at the end of the month, so i can request the plane there, but surely this will mean the shipment could arrive later.

i'll be doing all the possible to make it arrives at time.

and please, dont suggest me to send it through an internet hobby shop, as i cant do that right now.

Sturz.. since your mom is comming up here, she could just mail it while she is here. It would save on any duty charges being brought back to you, and likely save huge on shipping charges. If she did that for you it would almost certainly arrive on time and cost alot less in the long run.  Just a thought.

Take this plastic and model it!

No rules about engraved panel lines at all..... Airfix kits can be built into great kits too! Don't sweat it- I'm sure your recipient will be happy with whatever you get- remember- it's more about getting to know people than about the kits! Smile [:)]

what about a "going to be out due to bussines GB"

you say to your wife/girlfriend you'll be out a week due to bussines/school activy (for young guys, like me [despite i dont have a girlfriend]). then you ask a friend to stay on his house for a little time, while you're in your "bussines meet/school activity", where you finish the model. then you carry your finished model inside a well-protected box inside a suitcase (in case you live with her, for the "young ones".

This is so much fun, I went out and for some reason came home with three kit's, yikesss. I did as much research on you as I could find and hope you like it. Whichever one I end up mailing.  Just have to wrap it up and find a box for it. Getting a little excited now.

What's making it so cool is how everyone is getting into it! Plus, I figured this one would go over better than my other GB idea..... "Blindfolded, Hanging Upside Down Group Build". Big Smile [:D]
