Ok, so am I the only one who's working on this?  I've got the Tornado's fuselage together and boy does it need some work... no matter what I tried to do, i still got a step between the forward fuselage halves.  Anyway I really should post some pics.

The only thing I am not happy about is the final flatcoat.  I used a new type (pollyscale) I hadn't tried before and I thinned it with some water but it didn't go very flat and I had heard good things about the pollyscale stuff.  I may have to re-spray it with no thnning or very little.

Jay, looking forward to seeing your tornado pics even it is only so that I know that somone else is having as much fun as me.  Been spending my time between four dragon Ar234's and the Revel Snowberry.  There isn't a decent fitting seam to be found anywhere on those builds.

As for the Panzer III it looks awesome.  I use the polyscale too which is perfect for WWII aircraft but if I want a duller coat for armor I add a drop or two of tamiya flat base.  If you add too much you get a white pastie look.  I also always use tamiya acrylic thinner when thinning my paints.  I find it really reduces tip drying in the airbrush.

Hey guy's I am still in this GB also and enjoying all the good work being done in here. I have been up to my eyeballs in work and also trying to finish off some other GB's. I should be back to the Seafire this weekend.

I'm still here as well....

Just finished moving house and hope to spend some time at the bench sometime soon. The 1/72 Hurricane is virtually finished with the Spitfire not far behind. Not even started the Lancaster yet - got some PE for that one so it may take some time.

Just trucking along here, I have the fuselage buttoned up and man are there some nasty gaps!  I think I see some sanding in my future!  After that I guess I'll be pretty close to paint.

I really should get some pics up, maybe one of these nights...

Beware! if you decide to do a "quick" reno and change a couple light fixtures, you may find an overwhelming urge to replace more/all light fixtures!  We had these dreadfull track lights in our kitchen and two of them burnt out this summer (So we've been toiling away in the kitch in near twilight every evening) and being the usual lazy butt I am I never bothered to switch them but in the end I couldn't find the right types of lights I needed so we decided to get rid of them altogether and put new fixtures up there.  WOW! big difference and it looks so much better with a lot more light!  Now the Wife wants ot change the dinning room and hallway lights - yikes!

Hey there, anyone doing anything to their airfix headaches?

I am ready for paint!  I also have picked a paint scheme.  there is a 90th anniversary scheme fo the 13th sqdn I am going to atempt.  pretty sweet looking Tornado.

There is a decal set available but it is apparently out of print so we'll see, maybe I can mask and paint it on my own.

The Spit is 99% finished now, just an aerial to add. The Hurricane needs the canopy repainting and I'll do that when I have the energy for it. The Lancaster will have to wait a while I am affraid.
