Okay so I haven't posted any pics yet as I've only begun the glue and paint.  The Hull is together and I am in the long process of sanding the bottom seem.  I also painted the decks but didn't like the colour (too dark) so I am going to try a lighter tan colour.  The decks are very rough in detail but I don't care.  I want to build it and unlike others, I get tired of a steady diet of tamygawa shake'n'bakes.  (My wife thinks I'm crazy to constanly punish myself with horrible Airfix and R-M kits).Tongue [:P]

Long live Revell Monogram and their never ending skill testing (and patience/mental health) kits!

Supraman, I am in Calgary.  The weather here is okay right now (0 deg C) but we should be getting -20 later this week.  BTW how did you know I was Canadian.  I don't think my avatar, name or badges give any clue.  Not that I want my location to be a secret or anything, just curious.

Let's just say I have my waysBig Smile [:D]Evil [}:)]

Looks like alot of good progress is being made in this GB.

Smokinguns3-the Gato is looking good I hve got that on my to do pile.

While the paint was drying on the Sopwith Camels I was able to get a little done on the F-106

Instrument panel

The cockpit
I added glueing strips to keep the fuselage in alignment.

I glued the fuselage top and bottom together

No filler needed just a little sanding.

I had to do a little filling under the wing

I used some Liquitex modeling paste.I'm building it as an A/C from 191st FIS MI ANG

When in doubt just build it. Mark http://www.ipmslivonia.org/ipms/

I am also building a Delta, I really like the idea of the alignment strips Thumbs Up [tup] great tip Thumbs Up [tup] How did your instrument panel fit? Mine has issues with gaps. Hint: the yellow handles on the seat have black stripes according to photos I have seen. Great Job!! Where did you find Liquitex modeling paste is it available at the Hobby Lobbys or at Michaels I can't find anything like that or Mr. Surfacer or Tamiya at any HS here in Northwest Indiana. Keep up the good work.

Supraman, I could have been American or Aussie.  There were several "foreigners" in that GB as the subject only had to be Canadian.  I am thinking of doing another Canadian GB soon.  I didn't do one in '06 as my bench time went way down with the birth of my son.  Since time is at a premium for me, I'll have to re-think it later in the spring and see where I am at with the builds.

Ok folks, I got the deck tan re-sprayed and have pics, I just have to get them off my camera and uploaded so I can post them into FSM.  Soon I'll start the tedious painting of the bits and pieces of the deck details.

Stay tuned...

Latest progress report on my Six:

30% of bottom half of fusalage rescribe is done. No pictures. I am in no hurry to slap my Six together and I am going to take my time with this rescribe to make sure it gets done right with very few mistakes.

TGregory thanks You can find the liquitex at Michaels in the area with the artists paints. The photos I found of the seat didn't show any stripes on the seat handles.

When in doubt just build it. Mark http://www.ipmslivonia.org/ipms/

Thanks Jin. Went as far as buying a cellular wireless card for my laptop so I can follow this GB while on the road. Shame this GB does not include Revell Germany, I am also building the 1/72 Corvette with over $500 dollars worth of Dave Parkins brass and white metal. Has taken me 5 years to get the decks near done.

Will send pics when next home, in a week.

I am English if anyone is interested, just live in the USA.

I am planning on replacing the upper periscope tubes with 3 mm brass tube as I can't get the plastic parts to straighten out. You have the same trouble?

Anyone else going to put in the 2 rows of holes along the upper top of the stern area? Just trying to work out the spacing right now.

I found the cameraCool [8D]  the pilot and half the tub are complete. Still rescribing panel lines. Comments and suggestions always welcome.

he still needs an arm

Bare metal foiled the clipboard

half baked cockpit needs more time in the oven to complete.

I didn't bother with the lap belts since Mr. Pilot Guy will be sitting there. Everything is a little blurry because I shot through my desk magnifier lamp.Shy [8)]

jinithith You are doing a fine job, you're here when needed and always offering words of encouragement to us pretenders and wannabe modelers. I want to be a modeler not just a kit builder and these group builds are helping me more than you could know. So, cheers to you Make a Toast [#toast]

ok, i couldn't do much modeling today; I had to clean my room. It was all dusty and drity. But now it's not! Here's some pics of my 1:1 scale room:

And here's my workspace. really, it's my desk (not so clean)

and here's my other workspace. (also not so clean) please notice the fish tanks kept ever so close to my poisonous modeling substances.
