ok guys, today, I have become one with my Blackbird. No, I did not accidentally superglue it to my face. I was scribing the lines today and the farking metal ruler slipped and there is a panel line in my thumb now.

damn, that hurt. especially cos I'm using the sharp end of a compass...

There was a thread on here, just this week that was deleted, about panel lines. It was talking about how exaggerated they are. I tend to agree. I work directly across from Pearson (Toronto) airport, and live just on the other side. When I see the planes take-off and land, I dont really see the lines. So jinithith, what i am trying to say is, save time and follow smokinguns3's lead and don't.

Although, you can now say you put your blood and sweat into it.

I build to please my eyes, and I already posted in that one thread that was deleted that "good model standards" are not the "most reallistic standards", which means that ppl at model shows grumble about others' models with no gaping panel lines on it. I'm just trying a new thing. this is the first time I'm rescribing something. Big Smile [:D]

cheers

WELL in an attempt to lighten up the modd here after my little slip of the tongue (or the fingers I should say.) I decided to use a ton of smileys and get off topic for a while.

yes Supra I was about to say that the project now has my blood and sweat in it Big Smile [:D]

how is everyone's build going? I hope everyone is ok as to not curseDisapprove [V] (I'm sorry, I just came back from a horrible hockey game at 6 in the morning that our team lost... I'm in a generally foul mood, and that one post set me off. my grudge ends HERE)

I'm a crazy teen, too. In Jin's defense, you should see some of the other kids our age. They're basically 3-year-olds if 3-year-olds knew how to swear. They have no self-restraint and don't respect anyone. I don't know where the world is going to end up. I think swearing us a way to show anger, but words like "darn" or "stupid" may be a bit more appropriate. Big Smile [:D] (Trying to get on Grandma's good side)

ok, we've had a sudden spark due partly in fault by me. I deleted/editted the problematic posts, and I ask Grandma L do the same thing as well. This is my GB and I don't want an argument starting (sorry if I sounded a little like Hitler or Stalin) and getting deleted.

I resent Grandma L insinuating that I am a sissy though. I'll make that clear. I didn't cry, I just gave a news flash on the update. and my blood is not worthless (you implied that my blood is cheap/worthless. no drop of blood is cheap.)

Jin, Grandma was kidding with you just as I was. I am pretty sure she was not calling you a sissy and I was only kidding about the blood comment. I really do not think she was calling you cheap or worthless, just an attempt at humor you didnt get.

man that Gato is huge!!!  From what I read that kit when finished is something like 52 inches long!!!  Yours is looking pretty good.  Looks like you are off to a good start.

I have opened the box on my B-25J, found the date on the sprues to be 1977 ( luckly I did not have the urge to empty my stomach into the box)!  I have ordered the PE sets for the J and the bomb bay, since I found a 1 dimentional fire extingusher molded into the right fusalage half.  I'll have to take a pic of it before I get rid of all the molded in stuff so that you guys can get a good laugh in as well.

This GB has really taken off, I am digging it!!

Ummm, Uhhhhh. smokinguns I think you may have a problem with your build, if you cemented the bow onto the hull. How are you going to put the bow stabilizers on??Whistling [:-^] There is work to be done on the inside. But so far phenomenal. Wait until you check the upper deck and the 1/16 gap.

Oh, and it looks like you forgot the forward vent in the bow. From the pics it is hard to say.

JINITHITH2

Please change my entry from F-4 to A-10.

I've got an idea for Our GB. So many builders are near finished with their aircraft, That we could ask the guys who designed the badges to modify them with a little 2 in one of the corners, for second builds, Up thru 5 for Monogram Revell GB Ace builder. When you finish your first build you change your badge for the 2 and so on until you get to Ace.
