Thanks for the advice.  I opened up the box and fitted the upper and lower fuselages together and I told my dad that the fit of those looked pretty good compared to my 106. He said that was a good sign but I told him that the air intakes were probably crap. So thinks for the heads up. Anybody else got advice?

Ok on to the deck when i first bought this kit a day or so after X-mas i di a test fit all the way to the decking and found a nice gap where the front deck meet the center deck so heres how i fixed the issues.

First i outlines the forward deck where they meet on the styrene i did this four times usening this

once cut out i welded them one peace at atime useing proweld if you dont have it i highly recomend it for all your modleing needs.

Then all i have to do is wait till it drysa nd trim and sand. Much easyer then using putty.

I was  planning on basically the same thing, onlt pplying the sheet styrene from underneath and using putty. That way I could try to put some detail in the deck.

That is where the steel deck meets the wood deck in the pictures i have there is just a seam running from port to stardoard. Unfotunatly i cannot post those pictures due to the person that gave them to me is going to be using them in a publication.

F-106 Delta Dart updateBanged Head [banghead] I can't find my camera so bear with me. I have the upper fusalage panels lines all rescribed Thumbs Up [tup](dips hands in hot wax to alleviate the pain of arthritus) The little pilot guy has been completed (oil washed, dry brushed, futured, pasteled, and flat finished) with a clipboard wrapped in BMF and cockpit is coming along. SoapBox [soapbox]I don't have much time to work on her but I refuse to hurry just to post progress. This is the second Dart I've built and I already have more time in the pilot and cockpit than in the entire other build.Shy [8)] I think this one might be a wee bit prettier.Wink [;)]

Well, I finally found time to hit the bench yesterday after installing carpet and vertical blinds all day saturday.  God, i'm getting old, I HURT!  Anyway, when i first opened the F-15, itest fitted everything and it might be a miracle, but NO SEAMS!  Anyway i washed and primered the office and inside of the pit.  Painted it and got all the drybrushing done.  Little more tomight and then i'll snap some pics before i close it all off.

Tony, I agree with you 100%, Dont rush it. I've started rescribing he bottom half fusalage of my Six and I only have the front and rear sections done, I have yet to even start the belly or wing sections. Top half was was rescribed last week, and the cockpit I finished the week before. Take your own sweet time on your Six, it will only come out better that way.Thumbs Up [tup]

Will be doing USS Silversides as she did her whole career in MS9 (Black and dark gray).

As long as its not the Revell Germany issue of the kit i dont see why not but we will let Jin decide since hes the group leader.

Ok so this what ive been doing filling gaps and sanding and i still need to fill more where the deck meets sections of the hull and as you can see ive been working on the conning tower to i still need to get some flexible primer and some semi gloss black the grey iam gona wing it since i picked up the wrong color grey, its way to dark so iam gona add some white to it to make a light grey.

Well, I've been folowing this build for several days now and am very inpressed with the incredible work being done here despite the drawbacks inherent in Revell's kits. The great work going on here has motivated me to give this a try.

So, now that I finished my Italeri and Airfix Farewell Group Builds, I'd also like to join this one. I have a unique kit that nobody so far has considered: Revell/Monogram's "100 Years of Flight" issue of the Wright Flyer. I even checked to be certain that it is a Revell/Monogram kit and not one from Revell of Germany. There is even a pamphlet inside that tells how to detail it further. I will be attempting all those little tricks as well to try and make this the best I can.

So, if that is okay,  I'd like to join with Revell's Wright Flyer.

Okay so I haven't posted any pics yet as I've only begun the glue and paint.  The Hull is together and I am in the long process of sanding the bottom seem.  I also painted the decks but didn't like the colour (too dark) so I am going to try a lighter tan colour.  The decks are very rough in detail but I don't care.  I want to build it and unlike others, I get tired of a steady diet of tamygawa shake'n'bakes.  (My wife thinks I'm crazy to constanly punish myself with horrible Airfix and R-M kits).Tongue [:P]

Long live Revell Monogram and their never ending skill testing (and patience/mental health) kits!

Supraman, I am in Calgary.  The weather here is okay right now (0 deg C) but we should be getting -20 later this week.  BTW how did you know I was Canadian.  I don't think my avatar, name or badges give any clue.  Not that I want my location to be a secret or anything, just curious.

I didn't mean to insult or critcize anyone with my comments, but I have a strong "pet peeve" about cursing.  I feel that if you cannot express yourself in manner to do adequate justice to your emotions without cursing, then you need to work on improving your vocabulary.  Just my My 2 cents [2c] worth.

Hubby's Aunt Erma taught me her secret recipe for the chocolate chip cookies that he considered "the best in the world" when he was a kid.  I consider all of you guys, "on my good side" and if you stop by the house, you can have a few of the cookies.  Hubby probably won't object too much to a few of "his" cookies disappearing.

I need to get back to the modeling bench for my entry in the Powder Puff GB.
