Pink is a cool colour for an aeroplane! At my beautiful wife's request I made a Rufe and painted it pink for our daughter Emma - it was a slight variation of an official colour scheme of the IJN. Ya'll need to do this anually so Emma can join in a few years. way to go ladies.

Hello my name is Amy and my husband is Davew6003.  I was excited when my husband told me about the Powder Puff GB.  This will be my first model and who knows I may enjoy it so much that I will do another.  I picked this car because I love convertibles and since I don't have one of my own at this time this will suffice. It's Revell's 1:24 57 corvette.

Welcome to the GB, Amy! The more, the merrier.

It's really coming along, TexGal.  It'll be taking wing in no time.

Pink is fine.  I think someone here on the forum had a daughter that built a pink Spitfire.  The "Pink Squadron" is growing.Smile [:)]

As for my Hiddensee...if anyone heard yelling and swearing coming from the general direction of Indiana, that was me.  The keel seem split back open almoet the length of the boat while I was trying to figure out the placement of the anchor wells.  I am redoing it as I type.

Let's see now, two hands for typing, one hand to hold the boat, (maybe two) and one hand to apply the glue.  You have an interesting anatomical construction.  Best of luck on getting that seam back together.  If it is that uncooperative, you might want to consider using epoxy for the seam instead of styrene cement.

One to type and hold boat and one to glue.  Thumb and forefinger holding 5 inch boat hull and rest typing.  Right hand gluing. It was interesting to attempt and the watching it was probably fun too.

Sorry Bud, but that was for the "What do you wear while building late at night" GB a few years back.Propeller <img src=" border="0" />

We have a 13yr old living with us that is good with brushes, tweezers, CA glue, and paint.  If I can only get her to quit using my modeling supplies on her toenails and encourage her to build a model.

She is offering to help me with a 1/96 Constitution and is building cannons for me.  I'll show her this thread when she gets home.

My little Thundersled has progressed somewhat more.  I finished the basic assembly, primed it and put on the basic silver coat of paint.  Decals are next.

Very nice, Texgal.  Metal is always a trick.  I think I'm going to use foil when I do the "Amy Lou".  I'm not a steady enough hand with paint.

That's a lovely shade of blue.  Usually you see either dark blue or very light blue.  That's a nice change.

Nice work on the Chevy engine.  I hope the rest of the car turns out just as well.
