Great! I'm so pumped up! I got Rossi's Valencia RCV211 and Colin's '05 M1 Laguna Seca edtion for Xmas....so I'm almost done with the '04 M1 and I'll soon start a multi bike project...

I have to sort out the photo bucket deal and I'll be able to post pix.

Anybody going to Laguna this year?

Also, I'd like to know if anyone's interested in sharing pix of their display cases or dioramas...

thank you

Count me in! I'm about 90% done on the OTB Spidey bike, but not sure what the next victim will be. Either an old-style 03 RC211V (Repsol) or 04 M1, for which I am seriously contemplating breaking the piggy bank and getting the Top Studio detail set - looks awesome!

Hello all,

Count me in for Rossi's Nastro Azzurro NSR.  It's been on hold waiting on HLJ to ship my gunmetal spray paint.  I sure hope most of the old gang can make it for this new build.  So which one of you Photoshop wizzards can we count on for a GB badge?

Status: Nastro Azzurro NSR 500- finis!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a 1:1 scale Aprilla.  Nice.

Hi,

New thread was a good idea...the old one seemed to be dying. Im building the complete collection of GP bikes that Japanese rider Tetsuya Harada rode throughout his career. Ive posted a few 250s up already over in Autos and a 500 on the old GB, but this thread seems more appropriate now.

Im currently working on building the Aprilia RSW 500 V twin from 2000. Should add a bit of variety to things :)

I dont have much free time, and scratchbuilding/kitbashing is a lot more time-consuming than making a "straighforward" kit so bear with me if progress is a bit slow. Hopefully Ill get some pics up soon.

Cheers.

I'll soon be starting the Yamaha 500 unless I can find an old Kawasaki bike at my LHS.  I'm sort of a Kawasaki fan.

Thanks for making this an OFFICIAL group build.

I moved this to the Group Build section per the request of the original poster.

Good Luck with your builds!

So I found the thread Bushpig :-) I'll se what I will enter as soon as we get ourselves a critical mass. Great to see an armour guy entering! I look forward to getting some new aspects of the hobby.

Can I make a suggestion Bushpig? That you make a list of all the participants in the first post together with what they will build?

Thanks. Yes I airbrush just about everything on a bike as I find this gives the most realistic effect. One has to come up with some novel masking techniques at times but the results are worth it. I use a 000 fine brush for the fine detail work but spray the rest. I am hoping we will entice Andrew Collodel into contributing, he is a goldmine of good ideas and methods.

That is a nicely painted kit. Good job.

Beautiful looking build Bushpig - your paint work is stunning. I presume this all airbrushed this model? Looks to be. Anyway, enjoyed seeing it and looking forward to contributing some pictures of my builds soon. Thanks for sharing this, Jez

I have not shared this build before so will do so now. This was a commission build for a friend and was one I had wanted to build for a long time, though does not fit into my overall theme of Rossi machines.

Nice to have some new guys on board and looks like this could get going. My building is unfortunately on hold till I get back to South Africa sometime in March. I think I am going to finally tackle the Rossi NSR 500 "Hawaii" bike from Rannaisance.

I've been wanting to build my little Yamaha YZR500.  If this turns into a group build, count me in.

I'm an armor builder, but when it is warm, I transform in to a Kawasaki riding knucklehead.  I'd like to build a good bike kit.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. Have been lurking on the GP '05 site for a while but thought I'd join this one as it's re-starting. Am based in the UK and build GP bikes, but am quite new to this! Am only currently completing by second bike - an M1 '04. My next project is going to be a super detailed M1 '05 with Crazy Modeller PE and Top Studio extras. I'm also using Rennaissance decals for the Xaus/Elias '05 Fortuna livery. Looking forward to sharing this build with you all and learning from the skills that you all seem to have! Cheers for now, Jez Smile [:)]

The idea of this build is to update the excellent Moto GP 05 build that has been enjoyed by so many of us.

We hope to get some new interest going and provide a forum for Moto GP and GP bike enthusiasts and builders to share their builds as well as tips and information. Whilst the focus is on racing machines any bike builds would be most welcome. No limits, no rules!
