Uhhhh, you talkin to me?Confused [%-)]  However, I've heard rumors that you're building a SBD that was at Midway.  Give me some time and I'll set up a folder in my fotki account with some pics of the SBD at the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola.  It is the only Midway survivor on display.  Added a few more pics to the Tigercat folder.  Filled the gaps in the nacelles and sanded them smooth.  Added a few more BB's to the cockpit and to the inside of th engine face of the cowlings.  Mocked up the landing gear, cowling and props and she sits like a proper lady for now.  Will see what happens when I add the wing tips.

Man I wondered who that dude was!?! No Landing gear yet?

I read up on Franks thread about his PBY. Kinda disappointed that there were no crew figures as advertised. I think they were pretty much regulated to the pro modeler versions. My  1st release one that was a solid hull ( no wheels) had no figures either but I think the PBY-5 did.

 Nothing in the mail Nam?

Darren and Frankie! Good to have you back!Thumbs Up [tup] Katie pretty much kept things civil by her presence, though Dee was around alot too. Aaron was his usual hilarious, wordy self, but didn't have the scurvy globetrotting Bondoman to play off!

Darren.....that F-8.....lotta seam work! I remember when I was still in single digits in age and those seams would've been passable!Laugh [(-D]

MY two PBY's were awaiting me after work today! YAY!Party [party]Propeller [8-] There were even RUSH stickers on the box! I haven't opened the box yet, but it's calling me!

Frankie until I put my eyeglasses on, I thought the vinyl-clad quintet was Aerosmith! Walk This Way m'dears!Pirate [oX)]

Lewbud and Rog more than made their presences felt as you have seen.

All in all.....the crew performed admirably!

....and Dee, stop posting those pics of me PLEASE!Laugh [(-D]

I Need to dress and look like this... fair is fair.

She must be talking to Haligan or something! This independant thought and talk to me first thing is new. Confused [%-)]

Ok Frank get out the airbrush! The rest of you grab the putty and lets get to work!

6 months later and 3 coats of paint we have.........

CAG and Frank, the builds are looking Great!!!

Roy, your Hasegawa Corsair looks a lot like the Italeri I'm building. I have the 1/72 Revell F4U-5, and its the same bloody kit as the Italeri! Anyways, I'm thinking of dropping my flaps and tailfeathers as well. When I finish the engine, I'll think further about the flaps. Got one cylinder wired so far lol. Thats only because when I started moving the wires around to get some organization happening, a few came loose.Sigh [sigh] I'll get there eventually.Big Smile [:D]

Welcome back Darren and Daywalker! You have both confirmed my suspicions that you were indeed together on some super secret mission. After peeking at the stash with the angry guard dog I can see why Frank enlisted some addotional help in his quest to locate the secret workshop!

Glad you had a warm welcome home Frank! Thanks to Haligan. I have often wondered if your just using her dog as a test bed to develope a method to usurp the CAG's own hell hound defenses. Don't know how you find the time for all that a Zero and now 2 yes count them 2 more Corsairs! Regular Black Sheep Squadron your creating there. Curious on how you will mark them?

My own building has suffered due to you all and this thread. So far thanks to Nam my wife has ambushed me as a Hooter's girl. Roger gave me an "I love the EIghties theme" and I'll take credit for the Cheerleader though Katie's conversation was the root cause indirectly.

Now thanks to your secret mission it seems I have to go shopping for latex! Geeze what's next?

Nice to see so many checking in this weekend and Y'alls return tops off a great party! Be warned though I have heard the foul flattulant Bondoman has returned from sunny Italy. Think he is coming back to make Nam an offer he can't refuse!
