It takes forever to cut those apart.  I used a neww #11 blade and just kept going over and over from both sides until it was done.  Avoid the urge to snap it when it's close, bad ideaBoohoo [BH]  Tried that on a spare.  I think I will do the flapsTongue [:P]  Worst case the kit cost $7.15 at Great Models Webstore.

Darren, I think a nice steak would give me that chance to ransack your stashWhistling [:-^]  Nice looking dog.  Does that make 1 or 2 now?  We have 2 and love them almost as much as the little guy.

Your Gun Fighter is going to be sweetWink [;)]  I have been toying with the idea of doing a A-4E in John McCain's markings.  Thing is I'm unable to find decals for his aircraft but that's a down the road project.

Great to have you back.

Darren-

Looks like my lil' Secret Op to infiltrate the Secret Workshop and learn it's location has been foiled again!  Harry looks to be up to the task of protection, your kits shall be safe as a bug in a rug!  Glad to hear you have a nice extended leave, lots of WIP pics this week I hope! Big Smile [:D]

Now, for that Crusader...

YIKES!!!  That seam reminds me of my visit to the Grand Canyon.  You should get plenty o' exercise taking care of that bad boy.  I know you are up to the task!  Looking forward to more pics of your Gunfighter. Cowboy [C):-)]

If you need any reference pics for the Sea Fury, I have a few I took last year at an airshow of the wingfold, gear bay, L/G legs, and a couple of others.  Be happy to share if you would like!

Thanks Roy, it's good to be back!  I have been trying to catch up on things here, looks like the crew is hardy an' well and things are going smoothly.  Nice work on those elevators, I bet the flaps would be a PITA to drop on that kit!  Still, something about a Corsair with everything hanging off of it.  I'll be keeping a close eye on yours! Frank, good to have you backMake a Toast [#toast]

Your Corsairs are looking good.  I have been removing the control surfaces from my 1/72 HasagawaTongue [:P]  Not sure if I will do the flaps.  The way they are molded it may prove to be more trouble than it's worth.  Then again ecah time I look at it I think to myself, "You can do this"  We'll see how it look later.

Again great to have you back.

AHOY MATES!!!

I have been ashore for too long!  Looks like the ship is in good hands all 'round, though Lt.Cdr Nam be asleep on the deck!  Hoist him to his feet lads!  And clean him up 'fore the Cap'n arrives for inspection or there'll be the Devil to pay!

I'm back from a grueling four days of work in Chicago, and it sure does feel good to be home.  Haligan was in charge of the welcoming commitee and boy do I feel welcome! Blush [:I] LOL...

Nice to have a box o' PBY's sitting here at home when I arrived as well.  Can't wait to tear into one of those babies!  WHole lotta sprue in there to behold, ahhh... I love the smell of sprue in the morning.

Glad to see all is well here, and the crew be in tip top shape no less!  I have been busy on two Corsairs as of late, an FAA bird and a US Navy night fighter.  Here's a pic or two of what I have been doing:

The tailwheels are finished, with a tall and a short for variety.  Both aircraft are Birdcage Corsairs, with the night fighter retrofitted with the taller tailwheel.  Here's what she will look like when finished:

The FAA aircraft will be painted like this:

And, proof that I am building two:

Nam musta used the bathroom gain and used his word of the day toilet paper. Esoteric?  I know your said you are college edge u ma kated but Esoteric?

I would say many more nice things about your Corsair Roy but Nam may think me a sycophant.

Haven't wired my engine yet, still looks like a flat sea urchin star fish thingy. Hopefully will get it wired up this week. Had to work this weekend. Wink [;)]

Nam about hooters!Laugh [(-D]

News for those interested or not! lol I just purchased the Monogram 1/48 AC-47 and its a tad dissapointing to see the old DC-3/C-47 molds with raised panel lines being used. Comes with an extra sprue with paddle blade props and the guns/ interior bits. The regular props are still in it though, which is good for the spares box. I am just happy to have one in 1/48. I was going to get Meteor productions white metal gun kit for my C-47 but they went under before I got around tuit. So, have one now anyways.

Nope, the new Dr. Who.  Started 3-4 years ago.  Think it was a joint venture between SciFi channel and the BBC.  Very good production, not quite as campy as the "original" Dr. Who.  Check your local listings, it's worth a look.
