Including me we have 7 people signed up for our little gift exchange.  If there are any others please PM your mailing address with the scale and era of kit you would like.  Let's try to get signed up by the 15th of Oct.  This should give everyone a chance to shop and get it in the mail in time to arrive before Christmas.

If it's OK you the group I would be willing to share the mailing info for those that want to send Christmas cards to members of the group.  If you don't want your info shared in this way let me know.  If you want the list PM me and I will email the list to you.

18 inch Rainbow???!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!! Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!! We were fishing fresh water. The Anglesea river. Not more than a 1/4 mile from where it goes into the ocean. Yes, "A bad day fishing, is better than a good day at work."

Richie, As the saying goes, "A bad day fishing is better than a day at work".  I think that's how it goes.  Last year my son (3 at the time) caught his first fish, a 18 inch rainbow trout.  Did you fish fresh or salt water?

I added you to the list.

I'm back guys! Thanks for the comments about my Corsair engine!

Darren, your Wessex looks fantastic!!! I'll side with the lot and say to us there are no mistakes worth mentioning! I thought of a comical caption for one of the shots with the guy pointing his thumb back as if saying, " I think you forgot something in the water back there, and he doesn't look too happy!" .Laugh [(-D]

The fishing was ok I guess, nothing to post believe me! I will honestly admit that the only fish I caught would fit in my hand.Blush [:I]Sigh [sigh] My stepdaghter caught her first fish!!!!!! Party [party] Her's was the same size as mine. Stepson didn't get anything.Sigh [sigh] Had fun though!

Roy PM inbound.

Now back to the bench!

Darren,

Was your Sea Harrier the subject of an article several issues back?  I really enjoyed that article.

It was a great article, sadly not written by me. My Sea Harrier was in the readers gallery in the anniversary issue. It was a big deal to me as one of my all-time goals was to see one of my builds in a magazine. I do plan to submit an article to the magazine in the future to see what sort of feedback I get.

I have been distracted from the bench this weekend off duty because some old friends have been to visit (hence the heavy drinkling sessions!) I have managed to get to the workshop today and have once again looked at the Crusader.........its not pretty.

I shall get the better of this kit if it kills me!!

For now work continues on my Viper, I've added some wash to the panels and its starting to look the part now. I hope to have this one finished up within the next coupled of weeks all being well.

Then its down to some serious Crusader building!!Mischief [:-,]

Hello Chaps!

Just a flying visit from me as I've been in out with some old mates and I'm almost too drunk to type.........

Finished this one yesterday, 1/72 Italeri FAA HA.3 Westland Wessex. This one was based aboard HMS Antrim during the Falklands War and is affectionately known as "Humphery" Most famous for its rescue mission of coming to the aid of SAS troops  during the conflict.

It didn't turn out as well as I would have liked-there are some dreadful build mistakes in there and I messed up the decals as well, so this was a "best I could do" exercise.....

Just thought this deserved another look. Can't say I have seen many FAA Helicopters.

As for my comment.  Think Nam had a flash back! There he goes!

Wait! That ain't me daughter! I can cast me eye about now!

I paid higher funds for that kit.....good for Ye Rog!

Thanks, but I just did the easy part- buy it! I was just lucky that I was in the right place at the right time.  But there was something else too. In that accident several months ago, I also had the Tamiya BF-109 4/7 Trop in 1/48 that met a similiar fae before I even started. I was also happy to see that they did have plenty of those. I think once I can get my hands on one of those 40% off tickets, I'll replace that one too. Awww, let's face it.... I'd like to have at least oneof everything they had thereBig Smile [:D]

Gosh seems like yesterday when 26 was old. Now it just feels ....dirty. I understand what you mean in your earlier comments. Heavy sigh...

On the bright side I only had two kids when I was 26. One of them just borrowed the car to go on a date. Geeze I need a tot.

Can you find me in this photo?
