It's alot more expensive than that, Dan! I've got a buddy that had been working on his private pilots license for awhile now. He tells me of some of the costs incured, and it's astronomical! Of course, this is all in Southern California though. Everythng is more expensive out there...

But it certainy is a blast taking a flight in a small plane! Sitting in the co-pilots seat, did you have a chance to take the controls for awhile? I got to do that back when I was 14, an there was no feeling like it in the world for me!Cool [8D]

Roger

Okay! Okay!

When I was in HS (1969-1972).....'some' cheerleaders cost maybe 1/3 of a 6 pack. Girls looking for danger!

Yep....pleated skirts all the way.

Then we feel icky! (until the next one!Pirate [oX)])

It's the sad truth, aint it?

I grew up right across the street from the High School that I went to. My parents still live there now, and everytime I'm there visiting during the school week, it always astounds me just how different the girls are compared to when I was in high school! They say that things don't change, but I do wonder if things have gotten a little worse with the youth of today. I've especially seen that with those girls out there looking for danger, and finding it in more than just a simple 6 pack. A reliable source there tells me that a large percentage of the kids going there now have easy access to some of the more exotic contraband...Sigh [sigh]

Well i'm still "at arms" here. It's been almost 14 years since I left high school, and I still can't seem to turn away when I see a short, pleated skirt.

Whenver the local cheerleader squad has a car wash, I ALWAYS turn in and "contrubute" regardless of whether my truck is clean or not.

I can't help it! Sometimes I can't help but feel like a dirty old man......Tongue [:P]

There was one girl I was with several years back. Not a cheerleader though, but she was in the marching band. Still looked really good though! I think the 3 years we were together, I musta spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $15,000 on her (mostly trips, gifts and a bunch of little things added up together). As expensive as she was, there were an awful lot of good times to go with!Wink [;)]

Hmmm you know I spent an awful lot of my lawn mowing/ snow shoveling bucks on those spirit filled girls. They sold everything from M&Ms to flowers to raise funds and I had sucker painted on my fore head.  I even took 3 years of French class cuz 1/2 the class was cheerleaders.

Now that I am older but not exactly wiser I have made my peace with them. Oh but it was such a splendid little war.

 What's for breakfast?

Understood! PM inbound...

I've got a PO Box. The downside is that it is in California.

Daniel,  I understand where your coming from and as Nam said we will never judge you here, it's all good.  Perhaps you can join us next year.

Hmmm troubles and worries are not allowed here!  Raider 83 the fact that you are participating in any of them is remarkable me. When I was your age I couldn't afford the postage and had many other things to spend $ on. ( Like those dog gone Cheerleaders selling candy and such) I would consider much more a pooper of the party if you spent all your cash. There is a lot to that thought counting thing having meaning. Unless your gifting for a girl then ya better shell out some bucks. They have different thoughts! Kisses [:X]

Now as for Roger? Geeze now I am singing The 8 of November by Big & Rich. Seems like you just live in a musical world!!!! If it is an issue I can let you have them send it here and resend it to you when you get a firm address. Or someone closer if they exist. That should be a none issue as many here have solutions I'm sure. Actually have a tent in back and an extension cord still up. Gotta raccoon to compete with though.

Now on too cheerier subjects? Anyone got any good Nam bashing jokes?

Progress on the Avenger is slow. I have to finish some other things up first. I am trying the dot filtering technique, and its working alright.

I don't think anyone is judged here by things like that Daniel.

JWB is a good man.....and we have all been in your shoes! Anxious to see pics of your dot filtering!
