Thanks guys that's what I needed to know.  Now to wait until the weather cooperates.

I did just finish Wonder Womans jet but I can't seem to find it to take a pict to show you all!   Well, I guess maybe later.

Forget the jet, we want Wonder Woman! (well maybe Dee doesn't)

Ya'll let Dee build that Corsair any way she wants.  I saw a F6F done up as a drone that was pink and blue so there you go.

Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.

Yeah a lofty achievement! But where is my mail? I have not received any new models lately! Wink [;)] I bet your hording them all!Grumpy [|(]

I put in a 10 hour day today in Galveston. Hadn't been there since way before the hurricane.  All the lush green trees and marsh around the railyard is all dead. Looks surreal with all the dead vegitation and debres. Many garbage cans floating in the canals and all the green leaves on the trees have been replaced with paper and plastic stuck all over the dead branches. Really the trees are full of garbage like somebody toilet papered the whole Island. Confused [%-)]Sigh [sigh] I wonder if it will ever be the ame again.

Sounds very sad Aaron.  Eventually nature will do it's thing and heal the scars. It's the thought of people's homes and jobs that makes me sad when something like that happens.  Now go spend some time with your wfe.  She sounds lonely, mailman must have skipped your house again today and whe has had no one to play with!  Wink [;)]

Got to agree with Dave on this one, Nature will always heal itself (eventually) whereas the effect on people is in the here and now.

Guys on a totally different topic, without going back 50-100 pages of posts can somebody update me on the current status of the build, i.e. what is the current theme?  Are we building USN/Marines still or have we changed direction for the new year?

Cheers

While we're on the topic, has anyone given any thought to the next theme?  This one only has a few months left in it's legs.

Mac- That is a very sad thing.  Sounds like a horrible thing to see.  Perhaps some snow would make you feel better?  I got plenty of it, free for the taking. Big Smile [:D]

Dave- I dunno.  I mentioned it to the CAG, and he was thinking about it.  Perhaps he has some ideas when he returns.

I'm sorry, Dee. It's my fault. I don't think he appreciated the exacto knife or the Aloe Vera applied via airbrush.

Sorry, AaronBlush [:I]

Well, actually the other day I threw out "IJN" but maybe this needs to be kept in the Allies side. How about Falklands?

Here's a quick bedtime update on my Hellcat. I have been really striving to finish it off tonight, but have fallen just short. It's only got the aerial wiring and the prop to be stuck on (in ?), but it's midnight (again) and I'm drawing the line.

I should be able to finish tomorrow, and post a pic or two.

Nighty night !

Tony

PS: Any takers for Aeronavale ?

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

I get picked on too see!?!

Now I'll throw out my idea Bondo? I like the IJN thing  but perhaps we could make it more of an adversarys thing. What I mean by that is something like a Sopewith Camel and A Triplane or a zero and Corsair, Or an Emily and Marauder, A Blackwidow vs a Me-110? A Mig vs A Sabre? Lotsa possibilities and openess to give everyone some freedom. It could be a counterpart to something already built for those who do not want to overtask with two projects?  Say an Emily to your Sea gull? Or anything?  Lotsa ideas to kick around and it would not encroach on anyone else's GB subjects.

Another idea would be an event as you say ?  Faulklands. Midway, D-day, but you narrow the subjects down doing that. Fellows who would like to finish a current build could still be included using current projects. PBY vs Emily for example, or PBY and a Kofu?  It's almost an anything goes appraoch without making it a total free for all. And we know we do not condone such undisciplined activities here in this GB! Mischief [:-,]

I've been giving this some thought myself, I don't know how the rest of you would feel but I'd like to go with the Fleet Air Arm. Yes, its my favourite subject and yes, I have a shed load of kits to build!Whistling [:-^]

But it is an interesting subject and an unusal one,  it provided us with a lot of fun the first time around and gave us the GB that we have today. Approve [^] Have a think about it and lets see if anyone wants to play.Thumbs Up [tup]

Well, I'm off to work (again!Banged Head [banghead]) so I will check in with you fella's when I can. I am off duty on Friday for 4 days!! See you then!Pirate [oX)]Make a Toast [#toast]

Did you say Fleet Air Arm Dave ?

It's finished...I'm pretty happy with this one, especially given the trouble I had with the paint job earlier.

I've set myself an ultra punishing challenge of completing 15  models this year ...this is #1. Many of them will be completions rather than new starts though.

Cheers

Tony

Darren- I think going back to a Fleet Air Arm theme is a splendid idea!  That being the case, sign me up for another one- I have a Swordfish I have been wanting to build. Big Smile [:D]

Mna, it's cold here today!  Right now, the temp is -17F (-27C) and windy.  The wind chill is-34F(-37C) so I think I'll be hunkering down in the workshop to get some modeling done.

Tony- That is a gorgeous Hellcat you have there!  What a fitting tribute to the Fleet Air Arm.  Well done! Approve [^]

Don't worry, Aaron....It's been my experience that a Wife is basically that high school bully that you sleep with every night! Somethings never change, although I have to admit with thighs like that, you sure give her good causeWink [;)]

Oh and Darren? I think in this case you may want to stay away from that drink- lest that picture starts to not look too bad (related to the "Beer goggles" conceptWink [;)])
