McNeal, that's a fine thing and I would say probably unique- an FM Ventura (a) finished, (b) and well, and (3) ready for publication.

Nicely done, and I've a fond spot for the proud products of Burbank. The fine Irish brothers Loughead made a fine run of it. Got a L1049 in the stash what may be built as a EC-121 one day, and made my L14 which is a pale sister to your PV-1.

Beautiful model, Aaron.

Now on to serious work. Sampled a few rum drinks last night at the behest of a customer, of the name Cachaca. A fine thing with cardamom and lime. Saw the Golden Gate Bridge form a new perspective; the passenger seat. better than the back seat of a CHP car.

Nonetheless, tonight someone row across and remove Lt. Ritchie from whatever he's dipped into, bring him back aboard and flog him, gently.

A fine crew, but not reporting for duty much.

I'll be leading an expedition starting 5/1 at the request of the CAG, into the RAF Coastal Command's hq at Roskilde and other points Scot, point being that it's a build-within-a-build for those who like thingies that drop depth charges on U-boats etc.

Up for me a Whitley and a Sunderland.

Press gangs may be deployed.

Bondo I am counting on it and your Coastal Command addition!  I may have something there as well! Thumbs Up [tup] Have you gotten any new gear to keep the head warm? Trying to think of what you may wear with your eclectic taste? It always seems that you are a man of many hats!

Anyways Thanks again everyone! Sorry I was slow in replying had another doozy of a storm which trapped my son at work and I am still up waiting for him to make it home safe.  Two flash floods in a week? Very unusual?  Should make up for the draught I hope.

With the Ventura complete and April showers bringing on the May flowers my mind is wandering toward FAA subjects.  Still organizing my stash and hoping I kind find something!  I'll keep looking!  I got something in mind for your deal CPT Bondo! I hope ye will approve!

It has been a most excellent run the U.S. Navy and Marine Aircraft stuff. Been proud to have participated in such a fun event!  As I reflect on the past year I can't help but wonder what we shall see built in the Future!

Well the kiddo just made it home safe and sound so bed time for me.  Thank you an G'Night all! Zzz [zzz]

Well at long last guys I have some progress to show on the 'bag again!!! After all thats happened personally, I feel ready to get back in the saddle and try and get this lil lady finished before the contest in June lol. Been slowly doing a few lil bits at a time and have these few pics. Plus, I want to have that sense of accomplishment of finishing once again!!! Really feel like that will be the kicker to get me going. Anyways, here are the pics! Enjoy!!!

The lil boxes go on the sides of the rear cockpits left and right. The bulkhead just behind the office had to be trimmed a bit but fits ok after gluing it in with white glue and filleting the excess. The props and fins on the fish are as symettrical as I could get them without going bonkers lol. The lil extension on the rear of the fish is plastic tubing thats been heated and stretched to make a better looking tail and also served to help space out the props just a hair, otherwise there wouldn't have been clearance after getting the prop pitches close enough. So one prop is on the kit part and the other on the tubing, and it gave me something more substantial to anchor the fins onto. The excess will be cut off after the glue cures. I can thank my girlfriend for getting me going again on this, keeps asking how I'm going with it and wants to see the finished product as much as I do lol. Love that woman!!!!

Aaron and all I'm back.

As my wife said, the computer was infested and infected.  So I wiped the hard drive and reloaded it.  I have been busy the past week with getting my basement ready.  They pour the floor next week.  I should have some time this weekend to read the post t=and get up to speed with current events.

With all this overwelming talent thats spewing out from this GB, I almost feel frightened to beg your allowance of my good self to the melee.

The Sarge was mumbling something about my Tamiya swordfish being perfect for the GB. He was mad high on Shrooms at the time, so it could all have been Crazy Talk....Come to think of it i may have dreamt the whole thing.

Frank-There ain't nothing wrong with Texas, our weather just gets excited to be here some times!

Aaron-Nice job on the Ventura.  Glad your boy got home safe.  Hope Dee is feeling better/ornerier (is that a word?).

Richie-Looking forward to more.

Roy-Why are you going to those kind of sites?Mischief [:-,]

CAG-You sure you don't need any rear security for your trip?  Have fun and take lots of notes and pics.

Guy-welcome aboard.  Since the CAG is off rampaging round the continent, the XO will be around to welcome you eventually (once he recovers from the dunking in the rum bucket).

CAG, I send my best to you and your friend!  I never served in my countries military, but I take pride in my support for those who have and still do provide the freedoms I love.  You Brits I hold a special bit of pride in too....to this day I can't stop and think about the Battle of Britain and her brave pilots and not get misty eyed!

So for this rare occasion I will partake of the finest Rum and raise me a glass!  To the USA!  To Merry old England!  May the winds of fourtune favor our brave fighting soldiers, sailors and airmen/women, and may they never have to lay down their lives for their countries.....but if they do we shall revere them in the halls of victory!

Heh hehe, absolutely.  After Fermis' A-10 posting in the aircraft section (the one he took silver with at a show) I got the urge and spent about 45 minutes the other night on YouTube just watching a bunch of A-10 video clips (and the odd Panavia TOrnado and F-15 fly-by videos Big Smile [:D])

CAG, gotsta warn ye, this blighter poses starkers on the www, kinda like Michelle Marsh, cept his luggers ain't quite so big. But 'es a fine one none-the-less, and recommend we make him a Bos'n in charge of the launch.

Capt. Bondo, RAF CC, RN, USN is his dreams and a real slacker too.
