XO, beggin' yer pardon there's a Newfie at the foot o' the gangway, looks to have a seabag packed proper and a bloody great big dog wit' em, too. Reccomend he come aboard and join the crew at mess, and we'll tease a sense o' humor out o' him yet, tho like all Canadians he has to go to bed at 8 pm. It's all Dave's fault.

Second, where's the bloody, er, blasted list? If it's on page one that particular piece of data jumps around more'n those Texans we strung up last week. Might it be a wee big more accessible?

Stand by, the CAG approaches, I think.

Captain Bondo, USNless he thinks o' some other crime.

Chester,

Welcome aboard.  The CAG's off pillaging the continent somewhere, when he gets back he'll make it official.  The XO's face down in the rum locker again, who knows when he'll be sober enough to welcome you aboard.  We're a pretty good, fun loving lot, all in all.  What scale ye be building in?

Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.

I think I'll go with the 1/72 scale for now, if that changes I'll let you know.

Luftwoller, I know what you mean, I was in the first FAA group build a few years ago.

YEEEEE HHHHHHHHAAA! Woot! I have a few assembly pics! (Finally, some time.) Painting pics will be added later. Now remember, I wasn't trying to do a super-detailed beast of AM. I just wanted a decent model on my shelf. Enjoy!

Alas, the figure that never got used...

Thanks for the welcome guys, its good to be back. Sorry for not joining in on the FAW group build but I left home to go to univrsity and I didn't have the space to build any models.

Anyway I'm home now till September and I'm going back to work at the local hobby shop part time, so I'll have plenty of time for building.

And now... $^$#@%#^$%^%^*%^&$^#$^&*%^&#$^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I wrote what I really wanted to say, either Aaron, Matt, Mark, or one of the other admins most likely would have banned me. Whoever produced the decals for the kit needs to be bashed over the head with the box-top of the model. I noticed on the wing decals that they were a wee bit large, but really, not much of an issue. THEN, as the fuselage side decals were applied, the problem arose. I applied the #24 decal and the star-and-bar. Both snuggled down pretty well, and I was happy. THEN, the Marines text with VMA whatever it was. Waaaaaaaay oversized. Couldn't fit AT ALL! On the right fuselage half, I got lucky. I managed to get the decals off without too much of a fuss. But I applied the left side first, and it had about a half-hour to dry. Trying to get them up, and reposition, the 24's lower half got torn off. That right there ruined my entire day. The star-and-bar also got messed up, but to a lesser extent. Anyways, when I post pics, they WILL NOT in any way, shapre, or form feature the left fuselage. I apologize for the rant. But that really messed me up. I had to fill in the lettering with some flat white. From a distance, it's not TOO terribly bad. But from about 2 feet in... Ohhh... the pain, the pain.

Anyweay, updates will stream in.

EGADS MAN!!!!!!! That is a catastrophie!!!!! Hope to see pics soon!!!!! We've all had our bad breaks, so show us a pic of the left side so we can share your pain!!! I understand if it's unbearable to do though lol. Not all kits are created equal!!!! Press on!!!

Well gentlemen, the way I see it we have just over 20 hours before the new FAAGB begins!  Figured it would start tomorrow at the stroke of midnight GMT, which works out to 20 hours from now!

Looks like we still have a few sailors ashore and unaccounted for, so if you see any of 'em- give 'em hell!

What subject and time period are you guys on now?  I looked back about 5 pages and I suspect it all got decided at a "shore party"!  FAA WW II?  Post War?  What?

A HA HP HE Ha! gettin close to that time!

jeaton01  welcome home!  Ritchie is absolutely correct! The CAG hisself pulished a list of aircraft that are qualified having done FAA service! Very surprising some of what is there and what isn't?

Thanks for the welcome!  I have this Silver Cloud Seafang in 1/48 that I really need to build.  It is very limited run, but if others can get through that FM Ventura, I guess I should un-wimp and get to it.  I may need more than the usual ration of rum, though.
