Yeti, the 88 looks great.  I really love the desert scheme but the winter schemes are my favorite as well.  I noticed on the rear part of the fuesalage that it looks like sink marks?  It might just be the lighting but I am not sure.  Looks Good though.

there is a was a part there that did not fit very well, I added putty over the top and you can only see it under the correct light.  AS far as the winter scheme I would strip the paint and repaint but I do not have the decals,  perhaps sometime when I am board and don't feel like spending money on a new kit I will give it a try but not now.

I'm anxious to get my JU 88A-4 started if I can just get my bench cleared! 

Been away on holidays for the last week and have been trying to catch up on everything. 

Yeti, invertman and Dave Nice work all.   I need to get back to my Ar 234's but have been sidetracked by some smaller projects.  I still have another weeek of holidays this week that intend to spend at home but I also have house guests so we'll see how much time I get at the bench.

I figured we need a wee little BUMP here.

My bench time has been replaced with "emergency catch up on some sleep" time, but how have you all been doing? THere's still plenty of time to build up our fleet, so no pressure quite yet, with the exception of Carlos, who is still down for two pretty hefty builds.

I finally finished my Bf109G-14 for the Axis Aces GB, which brings me one step closer to starting the JU88A-4. 

Nice work Scott, Shes gorgeous. I spose with a single Sc 500 it could be construde as a bomber?

Thanks.  The G-14 is working on keeping all of our bombers safe from the enemy

Ya, the wood grain on the cutting board is definately not 1/32 scale. 

I'm going to prep my parts for the JU88A-4 tonight so I'll post a couple of pics of all the goodies.

I have the Ju 88 out and am going to prep the parts now.  I also broke down and ordered an Eduart PE set for it and a set of masks.  I got a little spooked at all the glazing and decided the masks would make life a whole lot easier.

Welcome back, Carlos.  At least you have an excuse.  :)  I'm just slow. 

I have finally started painting my Ju-88C-6 dayfighter.  I painted it RLM 65, light blue, the other day.  Then I got the masking done for the top side and painted the top RLM 71, Dark Green, last night.  I'll start masking the splinter camo for the RLM 70, Black Green, tonight and hopefully get that painted.  I'll post some progress pics after I get home.

Yes...this is coming along very well indeed. You're at that point where I start getting excited about decal placement.Painitng and decals are always fun! Now you have us eagerly awaiting the next pics! 

I'm stuck.  I can't really find a good illustration of the splinter camo pattern for a standard 70/71/65 scheme.  I have a few references, but they all have some parts that are kinda unclear.  For example, I can't tell if the part of the engines that sticks out past the leading edge of the wing are colored Black Green or if the is a line about along with the leading edge and the engines are Dark Green instead.  I'm asking on the main aircraft for for some help.

Well, I went for it.  Boy, I have a new appreciation for people doing this scheme.  Geez.  I'm exhausted.  I've done splinter camo on 109s plenty of times, but this is my first try on a bomber.  I'll try and paint it later tonight and see how it turns out.  I'll post some pics.  I'm gonna take a break for a little bit, lol.

Well, I redid the nose section.  I don't know how authentic it will be, but I think it's a lot better than I originally had tried.  I used a combination of resources, none of which gave a perfect depiction of the nose.  But oh well, 99.9% of the people beside you guys will not know the difference.    This wont be an actual aircraft anyway.  I'm having to use the decals in the box which show a different camo pattern for nightfighters with antennas in the nose.  I wanted a dayfighter without the antennas but couldn't find a set of decals for it.  

Out of curiousity, how long do you guys wait to remove your masks?  I'm using enamels, but I usually wait about an hour or so just to let it dry a little.  I'll post a pic after the masks are removed.
