lol It was a mishap with the airbrush. I learned why people say MM Acryls aren't that great. I think I had some dry in the nozzle of my AB while I was painting. I started getting the same pressure coming out of my AB regardless of what I selected on my compressor and I was getting bubbles in the paint cup. Took me a day before I realized, "Duh you ordered an extra needle/nozzle when you bought the damn thing switch them and see if that fixes it." Sure enough it did, so I need to soak my nozzle and clean it out.

I should have more pics soon. I started the paint on my F-16 but had an airbrush mishap that has now been fixed.

You're welcome. I'm hoping to get some more work done next weekend. I'm back to work today so bench time will be  limited.

Anytime, my friend! ....and thank you for the tip about the Humbrol white. To me, whites and yellows have been the most challenging colors to apply and get a decent amount of coverage, especially over dark-colored styrene. A primer coat was always necessary for me, but I'll have to try this Humbrol stuff now. Thanks again!

Mike,

I'm using Humbrol white satiin enamel. Its about the best white enamel where I am in the world. I've learnt that three light coats makes a good final finish in that colour. Mind you, I'll have to try your idea of putting a grey primer down next time-thanks for the tip.Thumbs Up [tup]

Darren, what make of white are you using? I remember having to paint black styrene white, so I started with a primer coat of MM camo grey enamel. Putting on the white over that was a breeze.

Quick update:

I got the bomb bay built up this evening-quite well detailed OOB too. I'll get it painted tomorrow when I spray all the undercarridge parts.

See you later.Wink [;)]

Many thanks lads! Thumbs Up [tup]

Frank, well spotted! Those rods are for exactly that purpose. If you want to build the kit with the canopy closed you need to cut the extentions off.

Glad you like it so far-I'm onto the bomb bay next.Wink [;)]

Excellent work my friend!  Very nice detail on the IP and the seat.  Are those two rods sticking up off of the seat to hold the canopy open?

Hello Everyone.Smile [:)]

My image host is back online so here are some pictures of my "progress" on my Tamiya F-117.

This is a mix and match combination of the Tamiya kit parts and the Eduard P/E set. I did not like the Eduard I/P so I took the kits I/P added the kit decals, painted the display screens grey then did some painting to the raised detail. Nothing amazing, I know....but it was the best I  could do.Blush [:I]  The tub was detail painted with P/E sidewalls added. The bang seat (I like the way that turned out!) was drybrushed with P/E harness added.

I used Darrens photo's as a reference and have to say they were invaluable. Thanks mate.Thumbs Up [tup]

So here's how it turned out...........

Actually, I would live it if you built BOTH!!! Big Smile [:D]Wink [;)]

Mike, found an article today in another modeling rag (Shsssh... don't tell FSM) about building the  Hasegawa kit as a CF-104.  I definitely think I'm going to build the 104 but I will confirm once I actually pick up the kit.
