The easiest way that I have found to post photos onto the forum, I use the following steps;
1) After taking your photos, upload them onto a Web based image hosting site (I use Photobucket {It is FREE} [www.photobucket.com])
2) After you have done that, you will see that each photo has a IMG link line. You will want to copy that (you will have to do this for each photo, so using the latest version of Internet Explorer with the multiple tab pages is a big help). The link will look something like this:

3) In your message, you will past each IMG link line in the order that you want {ie. - Type your message, then hit a line space, then past your first IMG link, then a line space, your next IMG link, and so on and so forth.
The photo(s) will remain linked to your post as long as you keep the photo(s) on Photobucket.
As far as getting the best photo(s) of your work, all I can say is trial & error with your digital camera. Because every camera is different, what works for me, may not work for you. The best part of a digital camera is that you can take a zillion photos, and delete all but 1 or 2 that you like. Preview the photo(s) on your screen prior to uploading them onto Photobucket; that way you will get a good idea of what you got.
