Azgaron, For the wheel wells on the Corsair, I have seen some that are done in Zinc Chromate Yellow - like the color you used on the Typhoon. I have seen later versions of the Corsair that were painted overall Dk Sea Blue where the wheel wells were also dark blue. I think it depends on the version that you make - the paint schemes changed over time.
I am not familiar with the AS numbers, but the standard Pacific Tri-Color Scheme is Dark Sea Blue upper surfaces, Medium Blue sides, and white undersides. On the sections of the wings that folded, the undersides were painted medium blue.
Mist, Nice job on the Val so far.
Max, The AM SBD kits are awesome. I finished the -5 last year. The only trouble I had was with the angle of the instrument panel. I'd recommend some dry fitting to fine tune the angle of the IP so that it fits just right inside the fuselage halves. I didn't - so I wound up having to fiddle with it quite a bit to get it to fit right.
