BEAUTIFUL Steve!  Glad you enjoyed the kit.  Love the rust markings, so believable and realistic.  Good job

Thanks for all the kind word guy's. Made the deadline with a few days to spare. Take a little rest and I am raring to go for number III. This year I plan on putting number III higher on the build list and plan to build it early. How are the rest of my fellow procrastinators doing.

I agree... that's some splendid work there! It was worth the wait! I'm getting close to the painting stages of my build... Sigh so much time and so little to do. Wait, strike that... reverse it.

Steve,

Excellent job on the build, the weathering - and nice job on the pictures too.

One question:  Did you use the MM enamels right out of the bottle - or did you do some mixing ?  I've used MM acrylics for tri-color schemes in the past and they come out looking  really blue.  Yours looks a little grayer - I like it.

Thanks all for the kind words.

Chris, on the paint question. For the intermediate blue I did add a few drops of gull grey to it to take the blue down a bit and then with the same mix I put a few drops into the dark sea blue to tone it slightly lighter. I had built the Monogram SBD and used the colours straight out of the bottle and I thought the finish was too stark a contrast between the two colours so I tried this way on this bird to better lok like the photos you normally see of the real thing.

Steve,

I'd say the colorizing operation was a success - very nice - and I'll give it a try on my next tri-color build.   Thanks for the tip.

Well, I've finally picked up my Corsair build, and here's an update!

Not much perhaps, and I'm not satisfied with the decal on the panel, so I'm thinking of removing it!

Cheers,

Azgaron

I´ve actually done some more ad it's soon ready to paint!

I must say it's a very nice kit and goes together very well. If there is any flaw or problems, I think I've created them myself! Smile [:)]
