Well, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm getting for my recipient, and all the Chinese water torture in the world can't make me talk!  The only problem I'm going to have is to resist the temptation to update the quantity ordered to 2, one for me as well ....

I understand how some might be conserned about sending a kit that the reciever might already have. But you know what?, I dont mind getting a kit I may have already in the stash. it's all in the buying and sending and the surprise on the 25th that counts, plus getting to know forum members better is the best part of this GB and is the true spirit of it all. I still put a lot of effort in trying to figure out what @#!%@*&% would like. Reviewing their posts helps ya learn a lot about them and their interests. It's actually a lot of fun, a lot of reading but fun allthe same. So happy hunting and shopping to us all. HAHAHA.

Steve and Jon,

I got the point! Never really thought of it that way, but of course you're right! There are always aftermarket decals and other versions to build of the same kit. so I guess I didn't have to worry Smile [:)] As you say giving and getting to know each other and sharing the X-mas joy is what's it about!

I agree, happy hunting and shopping!

Well, I got the kit for my recipient today.  This XXXXXXXXXX is going to be one great looking model I expect ... I spent a lot of time searching this forum for examples of what my recipient has claimed to have built so hopefully this kit is one that this person has not done (although I have no way of knowing if it might be in the stash short of hopping on a flight to find this person's house, breaking in and sort through the stash, and then probably doing 5-to-10 in the state pen .........

Any way, looking forward to putting this thing in the mail and I can't wait to correspond with my recipient!

BTW, welcome back into the fold Bud. Good to have ya with us again this year.

You sure did, buddy!! I too haven't finished my model yet but it's in the works. I must add that getting a model last Christmas was alot of fun, but RadMax8 also sent me a full page hand writen letter and cd with photos of him and his family. Now that was the greatest part, getting a new buddy. That's what it's all about! Thanks again friend!

I've been researching my Santaee to learn more about what he'd like to build and I've come to the conclusion that we have very similar taste so I've picked a kit out of the stash that I think he'll get along with. All I have to do is wrap it up and drop it in the post!

I haven't gotten a chance to check out the hobby shops yet. Kinda lame having to wait for grocery day before going out and getting 15 min too look around the store, then we rush home before the milk gets warm.

Hopefully tomorrow I can pick something out.

I'm all set on my end also. Ready to ship but I don't want to ship to early. Be kinda strange to have a gift before the tree is up. I will ship on 11/30.

Actually that makes sense I agree with this. Unless it already takes a long time to send maybe we should hold off and time it so that the gift arrives at least sometime in December, like the first week or something? I know it doesnt matter too much just a thought though.
