Well I am out, but I don't know when I will start my Jeep.  It is all I will be able to manage in this short time frame. Mind you, jeeps (armor) are NOT my normal builds.   I do aircraft. Once I am done with my Jug, I will post it here for you to see, but not for the badge.Big Smile [:D]

Bwahahahaha! Welcome to the armor side!

I've probably built as many planes as you have tanks.

Seeing as I have proudly built 0 yes, ZERO tanks, that's not too many airplanesBig Smile [:D]. However, I did build a Kettenkraaftradden (mispelled that one) for an aircraft dio that I soon hope to have pics of on here.

I am building a couple models for other GB's. I wondered if I could use one of those for this GB instead of starting another model. I'm 14 so if accepted I'd like to join.

Zero tanks!?!?  hmmm... I've built at least ten planes...

Anyway, #12Wings, How far have you come on the build you want to submit?  If it's less than 25% done like the rules say, then you're set!

I'd say it's less than 25% done. All I have is the interior painted and assembled. But I'm using it for another GB. Is it okay to also use it for this GB?

-School out for summer-

Finish school today and done my willy jeep, it was originaly going to be wreck for the fankpanzer dio, but it was a nice kit, and the figure looks good, tamiya was one of the only kits that didn't hade a wagon and was very detail.

I wanted to make it look really muddy, and pastel chalk work great. Originaly I wanted to submit Dragon T-34, but it was too hard and can't start until the end of the mounth.

What do you think?

Ok I just started yesterday, got the fusalage, and wings(not shown) Glued together. Most seams filled. If you want a quick way to fill seams use super thin CA glue and sand it down with 600 grit sandpaper. Well here it is.

I think your Jeep sat in a mud puddle for a while T-RexBig Smile [:D]. GReat job.  My Jeep isn't going so well.  THe checker decals are impossible to put on and get to lie down right and I can't make 60 odd 1mm squares the same size for masks.  I might just spray it all OD and go to the second paint scheme. Before I never weatehr, but after discovering pastle pigments.

I don't think it looks too unrealistique (jeep do go throught alot of muddy terrain) mine may have gone throught a shallow swam but if there too much it can be wipe off.

I choose tow version cause it mine work with my quad in a dio.

Good luck on your build.

Hey guys, great looking builds/progress!  Sorry i've dropped off the map for a few days.  I'm gonna go ahead and start another build for the GB.  Put me on the list for Tamiya's 1/35 panther A.  an oldie but goodie.  Progress pics will be up in a few days after it's confirmed.

Any suggestions as to modifications I can do on this one?  (i'm on a scratchbuilding kick, the stuart came out so well after all)

Here are a couple of good pics for Panthers:
Spare tracks is a must:

Foliage?

Find out what on earth is sticking out on the left side...

Tracks without sag, and almost no tools?

Heres a feature that would be nice to see. Barrel cleaning rod case is open with some of the rod sticking out:

Do the road wheel on the turret! And notice the position of the cleaning rod, as well the two jerrycans at the exhausts.

Paint the ID on all the spare tracks on the turret!

So add some of all of these, and you will get one nice awsome Panther I'm sure! :)

And for my progress, Norwegian Mail Service is very slow.

wow!  The response to that post was lightning fast!  Huxy, i'm liking the look of the last pic, the Numbers on the treads, if the kit includes enough, i'll do that.  And stick man, yeah, i'll add some skirts to this pretty kitty.  Those are easy.

Thanks guys!

p.s. huxy, thru rain or sleat or snow, the norweigan postal service will deliver it's mail no matter what.  just give it time, it'll make the build all the better.

yes huxy, customs is afraid that the tiny plastic men in the box are carrying REAL weapons.  So each figure is being interrogated... and if they don't talk, then *gasp* they're melted!Dead [xx(]
