Very nice build Carlos.  Always good to see an early jet.  Good job of painting the leading edge of the wings.  That's one thing that has stopped me from attempting a Panther.

My Texan/Mosquito is progressing slowly.  Painted grey, hoping to get the wing tips masked & painted red today.  Along the way I'm seeing many flaws that are a combination of an inexpensive/old kit and my inexperience/lack of attention to details/lack of skills.  However, I hope to have it Futured and decaled by weeks end and finished by the end of May.

Hello all. Well I`m still at it! No pics yet. I`ve managed to squeeze some table time on the Saber. Putting in some PE in the wheelwells,OH what fun!!As soon as I get that done and get some paint in there, I`ll post some picks. Thanks for looking in...........Harv

I'll still be here, Harv. Bench time has been tough for me this Spring/Summer, but I keep checking back at finescale...looking forward to your Sabre.

I'm following too Harv and look forward to seeing pics.

The Texan has been painted and decaled in between other projects, hobby & otherwise.  I'm not happy with the job I did on the seams, but with some creative photo shots, they shouldn't be too noticable...I hope.

Yes, Bob, one of my tricks is to bribe the cameraman. Some well considered angles usually hide the obvious flaws in my builds!!

And proud you should be, Harv! She's really coming along nicely now. You may be frustrated with the slow pace, but at least you're doing things right. I'm usually the opposite: I try to hurry a build and end up making multiple silly mistakes.

nice looking Sabre~!

Well, mabey this will help attone for my miss guidedness. Just a quick update. Got most of the masking done last night. Next will be a little experamenting with Gealds powders. Are you waching Gerald?? I`m going to be mixing some alum.  and steel together and see what happens. I did this on some test pieces and it did work pretty good  ..........Harv

I hope I`m not pestering you all with all the updates.  OK, experament went very well, I think. I used 2 parts alum. powder to 1 part steel pownder. Mixed and aplied with soft cloth and buffed with same. Just top right wing and part of right fuse. I like the way it makes some panells stand out. Not TOO shiney. Bur I would like as much feedback as posable. HONEST feedback good or bad. So help me out guys..............Harv

Harv...NMF is really hard to tell from pictures, but from what I see the "metal" looks nice and worn. It has a really solid look to it...very convincing form the pictures. That's one big Sabre!!!

Harv-the NMF on your F-86 looks good.  Like you said, not TOO shiney.  I'd be proud to have it in my collection of builds.
