Fw190 GB

Thanks jacob. I have all off the decals on and sealed under a coat of Future. I'm going to let it dry for a couple of days and get good and cured before doing some panel line washing. Here is the shiny version!

Dude!  That looks excellent, can't wait to see her finished! 

Mike(Soulcrusher) is that a 1/48 or 1/72. 

Stan I've started the 1/72 Ta-152.  It is horrible but I am going to try and finish it.  The whole nose is not designed to be closed up.  I didn't want to show it witht the engine.  Gaps like you wouldn't believe.  The cockpit is not bad for 72nd.  Had to do a little finagling to get the wings to line up.  Will try to get some WIP pics soon.  JOHN

Stan and Mike thanks for the compliment. I put a light panel wash on today and sealed it up under a coat of dullcoat. Now the best part! Adding all of the details that finish it all up.

John the kit is the Tamiya 1/48 D-9 with the JV44 candystripe underside identification markings. The decals I used came from Life like. They worked perfectly the were easy to handle and went down perfectly over a coat of Future. Might be finished tomorrow then I'll post some pics!

sorry Tempestjonny must have missed that. The 1/72 is that bad. I heard some ugly comments about it. I guess I'll put that on my no buy list.    

SC -- she's looking sweet! Great work! It's always my favorite stage of a build, adding the final details and the decals.

Phoenix and TJ -- Hmmmmmm... No wonder I got one so cheap through Squadron several years ago. Same goes for the Fujimi offering.

You have to really be carefull when buying Fujimi kits. They have some kits that are pretty nice but they also have some old really lame kits out there too. Best to read the review before buying any Fujimi kits.

You built a fujimi 109, how was it. I have only been able to find one other person who has built one of these. I also have one I plan no converting into a G-6/AS. Anything I should look out for.

I'm sure you have already seen that I chose the D-9 also. Tamiya 1/48 with Life Like decals. I am sure your effort will turn out great rudratt! its great to have you in this GB.

Dang, I can't find anyone who built one of those. I was hopping if you built the 190 you may have built a 109 as well. The poor 190 wasn't worth building.

Don't look now but stan's made some progress. I have to thin the life out of the resin cockpit tub and and part of the fuselage but this cockpit and insterment panel will fit. Got the engine plug done too. Now time to get them in the fuselage halves and join them together.

Looks like a great start there Stan! That is the one thing about resin if you do'nt like alot of sanding stay away! The end results are worth it in my opinion. can't wait to see more Stan.

This was the one that was boxed as the G-K.  I did it as a G-10
