deafpanzer

How do we know if it is not an 1:1 scale mufflers?  They look great... way too real I am telling you! YesYesYes What did you use to create the surface texture?

Cool Andy ! Thanks for the very encouraging comments ! Hopefully the last attempt will look as good .

Andy ,what i ended up doing is using lacquer thinner applied with a stiff brush and then stippled the surface with the brush to make it rough . I painted that panzer gray , then dry brushed with rust and over that with leather , all model Master enamel . finally i touched it up with some pastel chalk colors .

Eric , Bill and Tread thanks for looking and your comments Beer. I went ahead and mounted the mufflers . They were a good learning experience for me . I think i spent about 4 days , off n on , working on them . Thanks to Treads input i put more effort into them than i was going to originally. But they are close enough for this build . I can improve on my technique on my next models .
