I just LOVE this! Yes  Everything looks great.  It should be on the cover of FSM magazine one day.

To make your friend Gunny happy, I am sending a virtual case of Beer over now...

Shellback:  This work is exquisite!!!  The variation of the O.D. Green is fantastic!... the detailing is unbelievable...my jaw actually hit the floor when I looked at the wood boxes and rope!

But the smear of mud on the bottom of the blade and the bits of dust here and there leaves me feeling  empty.... I want more!!!  It kinda feels like you held back.  I would expect these bad boys to be FILTHY or at least have clods of dried muds under the fenders, in the road wheels, etc.

Top notch work, thanks for all the photos!

Shellback:  You're not alone....I consider myself pretty bold in the weathering department but I sometimes wonder why the heck I "jump out of a perfectly good airplane!" when I start to weather.  You just gotta' GO FOR IT!!!  Use an old build as a guinea pig!

For the face and hands, what medium will you be working in ?  acrylic or enamel ?... the driver on my Char b1 bis I used acrylic, but I didn't like it ..dried to fast and to much build....If I ever try again I will use oils or enamel...my 2 cents

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!  Carl is doing figures.  This is going to be great!  I have seen what you have done with Gunny and you will do just great again.

If you really want good resin heads, go for Hornet or Verlinden resin heads.  They offer excellent details at reasonable cost and I recall seeing several US Marine tankers sets.

But so far your work is looking good and they will look better after its prime job.  The guy in the right sure looks like Gunny's brother and he scares me...

Tread ,i had luck with acrylics from the tube and thinned with walmart glass cleaner when i did Gunny . I was able to get the consistency where i wanted it so that the coverage was good when applied over a light primer .I bought a cheap set of artist acrylics that had 12 colors in separate tubes at walmart and mixed my own colors .

My first attempt , aka "Gunny'

Gunny doesnt like Andy . Andy called him a "zombie" and that sealed the deal .LOL

Sorry Andy for posting Gunny's pic un -announced . Someday i'll pick up some of those cool Hornet and Verlinden heads . Thanks for the info Andy .

Lookin' good,Shell Yes ....Gunny looks pretty good, too !  he has detailed eyes, teeth ect ....I'm gonna have to get off my fat butt and get me some windex or retarder for acrylics...I also have a Sherman driver in 1/16 I have been waiting to get the stones up to do so he can drive my M4 105. He is pretty detailed.

Keep up the good work, buddy !

You got that DAMN right... Gunny and I became best friends ever since. Yes Your figures look much better now after being primed or painted.  I couldn't see the heads well because of its dark green.  They are just great and I look forward not to call them zombies.  Whistling
