I kinda like rule 5. no help from the other side, gives it more of a challenge.
Also, I need a kit, WWII.. Ne good ones? and that are under $30. and 1/72 or 1/48

What if we expand the build to include every forum? What I have in mind is build something but paint it like something else. Car painted like a plane, ship in german camo, tank like a hot rod.

Jeeves, since you have been involved in this thread would you like to be in charge of the a/c forum guys? I will need some help on this.

I am with frosty on this one...things might get a bit hairy...that's not to say I don't enjoy a little rivalry...but if none of us have built tanks before, how will anyone know how to solve a tough situation? I will help anyone on the plane side of things... and yes Awasoda- I'd be honored to help out...I am not as qualified as Pix or Swanny, but I guess I've built enough to at least provide help to anyone who needs it...

I been watching this one but this is my look at the Tank guys side. I'll ask for help now. I have never built a tank before, never seen the inside of a tank kit box. What is the hardest, most aggrevating Panzer kit I can get my hands on?

I think that it is a great idea to interact and perhaps get to know some of the other forum members. This looks to be an interesting build to say the least.

Ok, I noticed something about getting challenging kits. So does that mean the ME109 with it's 20 parts is a bit to simple? If so , I have been told by both my boys after seeing the blue angels that they want me to build them one so that could be a possibility as well.

Folk's,
These are the two I'm doing, there both resin conversions to excisting kits.

I've put my hand up with a couple of questions, regarding AFV's with resin conversions now, if I may sujest from what I've read in the last 5 pages, myself and one other are from OZ, a good 90% are in the Staes, OK we pool our knowleadge of our subjects and help those who seek the answers to their related subject. I build aircraft, mostly, I'm also a contract model maker, some of you have seen my posts, some have asked me for help regarding various finishes and techeniques in building or painting, there's guy's who do 'Wingy Thingy's' and there's guy's who do 'Ground Pounder's' I'll help anyone anytime anywhere with any model project.

Rob.

Has anybody done a head count as to how many have joined in.

Otherwise....Blown canopy, smashed wind screen, er ah, yeah, that's it, battle damage.Wink [;)]

Yes-- they do make them...just don't get the piloted version-- it has a canopy. Might I suggest one of the Luftwaffe medium bombers?? They have small canopies Wink [;)]

OK, considering hubris as a personality trait and no gauntlet thrown doesn't deserve to be picked up, here's my project in this shindig.....

Talk about burning ships behind you...Yipe again!

I have to disclose that I have built planes before...In my early teens when I was fascinated with Dauntlesses. That was the late 70's and the last I built anything before this year.
This should be entertaining to say the least.

(In a month or two anyway, when this starts)

i look forward to it. should be a great build. with the 109 from revell you should have a decent time. the kit is moderate. mine had some major fit troubles around the wings. but the detail is good. i cant wait to see the camo.

Would that make it an anti-anti-aircraft cannon?
or

I think it would make it an anti-anything cannon!
I wonder how many feet it would be knocked backwards when the gun went off!

LOL

They did manage to mount a 75mm gun on one of their ground attack planes, you gotta figure it was only a matter of time... Wink [;)]

Maybe it would be appropriate if said planes were all tankbusters for this build?

Okay, I bopped around my closet for a few minutes while home for lunch. Here's what I'm thinking of. Either:

Hasagewa 1/48 Me 109 G10 oob
Hasagewa 1/72 TBM3 Avenger oob
Accurate Miniatures SBD-5 Dauntless w/Eduard PE, and Tom's PE (I even have a Waldron set for an SBD, but not considering that for this one!)

Decisions, decisions...I hate making decisions!

Good point, except that I am still working on scratchbuilding things for tanks, let alone things on plane!
Guess I have to come clean to. I have built planes in the past as well. Of cparse I think the last one was when I was about 12 though and I just lost intrest in them.
