Steve I'm not sure I understand your question. The railroad tracks are obvious and the Fruil tracks are for the Morser, I didnt want to do all this work and put on rubber bands for tracks.

Hey Terry nice work on the base there! You started with a bigger project than mine and I think you're still going to be finished first! 

Steve: I'm assuming the tracks are for the gun, I understand it was able to detach from the railcars and had limited mobility on it's own. 

Oh I'm sorry, I was kinda wondering about the tracks already on the Morser too. 

Steve Trumpeter provided those one piece rub ber band type of tracks that just didnt look or fit right so I picked up the Fruils. They'll be placed on the Morser thats under its own power once disconnected from the carrriages. I know you knew this stuff but I started writing and couldn't stop. 

Gam theres no hurry in this stuff, for me theres no judging or presentations. I do the bigger ones because they include vehicles i'm interested in and it gives them a chance to tell a story.

In this one, this is a factory new Morser with additional railcars carrying spare parts with the entire are under heavy security awaiting their deployment.

I set the rubber bands on to check for a fit, so when I assemble the Fruils I'll know within one link how many I need for each side.

Ok, I got some progress done on the tomahawk. I was hoping to have it finished by this weekend, but I got a bit to smart for my own good and may have set myself back a couple weeks. Anyway, here are a few pics of the tomahawk painted. I will apologize for the not so good pictures. I have to adjust the lighting in my new work area.

i agree with all the above comments. terry where did you get the cleats for the rails? i usually spike mine, which isn't european but still creates the illusion.

working on putting the K-5 interior together; the left and right inside side plates, braces, recoil mechanism, and elevation and breech. really interesting after building a 1/72 german 105 which is smaller than the recoil cylinders.

These pictures were taken before I started the gloss coat. I'm going to start the sanding process tonight, hope to have an update this weekend.

Steve your 24ib cannon turned out well. the wood and the metal look like it and not plastic. my wood ship club guys would b impressed too.

this is an unusual build for me because i know it will be on a base so some of the underside isn't even painted. the front cab fender wells had the same mold "holes" but this time i didn't even bother to fill them. the cab is a bit tricky. You build each side, glue one side to the engine cover, glue that to frame, glue other side and rear panel. Acetate windows were ok. I did scan them in so i could make new ones. bumper is tiht but i had a gap on the sides, my fault and easily filled in with 101 size. styrene. overall the front is a tad rougher than the rest. missile is just sitting there. i think i will paint parts of it a bit darker and other parts a bit lighter.

i have pics of wiring in the rear. i haven't decided whether this is going to be in travel mode or launch mode. i have wire for the cables and, if i could make them flexible enough, would have it so i could lower it for transport and erect it at a contest. still workig on a diorama design. i have some soldiers but may have a helo nearby instead of a ground vehicle.

Very nice build! I'm curious about the doors too... And looking forward to seeing it on a base.

still a bunch of work. doors will be open so i know i would knock them off as well as the side mirrors. have to finish the erector and paint the missile. the missile will be a different shade than the TEL and some sections of the missile will be slightly different shades too.

at a minimum it will be in a 3 sided revetment with enough space to see the details.

I've haven't posted in a week or so but I do have a couple updates. The gondolas are ready for final paint, they have workable couplers and retracting walkways. I've also done a little work on my layout by adding some ground cover and started cutting out some of the mountainous scenery. A lot of work but slowly it's starting to look like something. The main gun has the Fruils attached and other than the railings and some smaller parts, its also ready for a final spray. I still have several figures that I haven't even started yet but I thought I would save those for the very end.

That's looking seriously good Terry, and your ground cover looks way better that mine. Hopefully there will be so much action in mine that you won't see the groundcover.

Looks really good to me Terry. And you've got more done in this post than I've done in the last month. 

We all have a lot more to do, these big projects take so much time.

That looks good , what an intresting subject and build. I really like it, Plus it probably doesn't take too much room. The greys look just fine as well as the panel lines. Do those things even get weathered?
