Cliff,

No need to be sorry, my friend. No pressure. Take your time, this is a relaxing hobby!

But, I am looking forward to seeing pictures of that big Zero! It will be a classic!

Just a small update. The Rufe is almost complete. I have had quite a time correcting that 2 part resin. Not very happy with the way it turned out, but that is only because of the "Amazing" resin, which didn't dry completely. Oh well, this was a learning experience of all of us. I will try the method again just not with deep water so there won't be so many levels.
All that’s needed now is finish the frame....without breaking anything.

Hey guys - Gamera, i did not find the Nate i had hoped to find. So, i am going to take my 1:48 AMT P40E out of the stash and put it in a POW suit - just like your example in the intro you made for this GB. a captured P40 it shall be... i am not disappointed about the Nate. i will; build one of those someday. but i think everything happens for a reason and will be fun to dress up the warhawk in the other team's uniform... i will not be using any aftermarket parts or decal sets, so will make or paint my own livery and scratch up anything i want to add to this otherwise OOTB project.

Please update my entry details. Thanks brother - BTW really liked your Heroes and Villains GB entry. on my trip to China i took some FSM issues and noted you and Bish in the pages. Likewise, Bish' input to the 'your 10 essential tools' feature. it's cool to know celebrities! :-)

Hey guys,

Bruce: Thanks, I wasn't in any rush until Brian finished his entry! So now I really need to get the badge done for him!

Steve: Sounds cool, as said we have ten months yet to go. Looking forward to seeing that neat dio all finished up though.

Sibbster: No problem, the P-40 sounds cool to me. And thanks, I've got another large scale Trek figure I'm hoping to finish up sometime next week. Check out some of Bish's stuff over on his Star Wars thread in the SF forum.

Hello everyone -

I hope all of you are well...I finally got home this morning and got straight to the bench to work on my build. So far this has been an excellent kit and has gone together nicely. I applied putty on the fuselage seams even though it wasn't needed. I just wanted to make sure you could not see the seams. Got the wings and tail section built today and placed them to the fuselage. I also got a lot of hand painting done on a handful of small pieces. I am letting them cure over night.

Sometime last week my wife ordered me this neat stand. It will be an helpful addition to my hobby tools.

Lookin' good! I don't even see much of a seam except where the rear of the wing joins the fusilage underside, some of the best fit and engineering I've ever seen in that kit.

You are correct Gamera....I noticed it after I got the first base coat of the belly color sprayed on. I am going to fix that. And it has been an awesome kit to start on...so far not a single issue with this build. Great fit and instructions.

here is the Maneuver Combat Vehicle.,

. suspension isn't as complicated to build as it looks compared to a Revell OTS BdW FUCHS 6x6. the front wheels can steer but mine are locked. 3 piece tires were nice, just sand a bit on the middle and drop the treads in. i will probably do my blend the cam onto the hubs so some will be brown and others green. it's primed now too.

Hello All -

Well, I'm inching closer to being done. I just finished painting the fusilage and all the remaining small parts. I deceided to that them dry over night so it has time to fully cure. This has been a great kit to build. If you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to share them. Thank you and have a good night.

Did my first attempt with putty to hide the fusilage seems.

Hey Hunter, she looks perfect to me!

Again not to rush you, there are other techniques you can try later like pre-shading and hairspray chipping but you're doing fine as you are. Keep up the good work!

Heck yeah, you're welcome to join us again. No cut-off date, you're kosher to sign up on Dec 30 if you can build the model in a day.

Cool, put me down for a Nakajima KI84IA Frank by Tamiya kit #61013 dated 1987.

Itz an old kit and very simplictic not like the new Tamiya kits. Just the kind of build i need after that long battle with the dreaded C . Now to see if my skills are still up to par .

Welcome to the GB and it's great to have you here. It should be the best build ever for you since you won the battle against that ugly "C" word. I'm happy that are still with us.

Sibz -

Thank you for the kind words on my build so far. Still have a long ways to go before I am decent at it. As for the hobby stuff....Should have never let the wife go alone to the LHS and Hobby Lobby(LOL). She tends to get a little carried away...but I'm grateful she wanted me to dive right into this hobby.

P.S. - I love all the nicknames you come up with for your last name.

Nice lookin' seat belts. I've been using the pre-painted PE ones from Eduard but tape lie much more like real cloth.
