                        It's so horrible. I get kits 90% of the way there and then I peter out. I have three or four kits laying around in just that condition:

                        Mack NO Truck and 8" howitzer (my own group build!!!)
                        Panther Early A (for another GB)
                        Sherman M4A1 from Formations ("for the almost-done heap, not the closet")
                        Pz38t (was a weekend build, got it pretty far but never finished it)

                        Maybe it's just that I'm afraid to filth up the kits. Screw up the weathering and all your work goes down the toilet. That's prolly it.

                        Sorry if you don't know me, I started this group build way back when it first started and then I had all kinds of family issues start up. Then of course summer came along and i rarely ever stay inside in the summer here in Texas.

                        I did finish my Small AFV recently though and I will post pics very soon. Then I will let you folks decide if I am eligible to wear the badge. lol

                        I also finished the Towed Gun for that GB. I am a mess huh?

                        T3488g Extra detail was what I was refering to. On the 222 that I did I didn't like the fact that the Water can racks on the back part of it are molded onto the cans themself, so what I did was just made my own. And also the insides are so empty on some that you dont dare keep that hatches open. Sorry about not being more specific there.

                        t3488 Great looking 232. Matt I did the 222 and It really turned out well as far as I am concerned. You are right about the old kits, they do scream for it and this 222 was no different.

                        Nice work on the 8rad there T3488g. Certainly is an interesting looking vehicle!

                        The damage on the fenders looks good, I would think the real thing would get beaten up there quite a bit.

                        got my 8-rad finished and painted. not sure if i should put it in my current dio, put it in another, or no dio. i might put one of htose air reconition flags on it later. here are the pics.

                        i tried to simulate bullet hits with paint and my hobby knife, tell me what you think. one method i tried was to cut the armoured plating with my diagonal cutters, when i was cutting the cornor of the plate broke off instead of taking a little bit off, i put some paint on it turned out ok imo.

                        well folks its me again. finally recieved a package from dragon usa. opened and found to my amusement the decals but no replacement dashplate. i guess it will have to be scratchbuilt. ahh well. my own fault for losing it. i will keep updating as progress allows.

                        Hey all in armor land. I've been out of the loop for a bit with work and all, havent really had any time to work on the models Sad [:(]. but here in the next few weeks I should be geeting or at least trying to get back into working on the models yet again. It might take me a while to get the dust off of everthing. Seeming as how i just left everything out on the work table. But as soon as all the affairs in the house hold are squared away, Scorn and myself will be getting back into the swing of things. Just wanted to let you all know that I havent droped out of site just stepped into the shadows for a bit.

                        Thanks Rich! I really enjoyed making this one. Some of the old Tamiya kits are just begging for detail.

                        Definitely a Dio for this one, but I am going to wait a while, as my idea involves wreckage of another vehicle, and I am a little unsure of how to proceed. Bought some figures to go with it, though.

                        Hi everyone. I have finally finished my Small AFV build.

                        I built tamiya's Sdkfz 223 and added a scratchbuilt interior. I had a lot of fun, particularly with the interior. I found references quite ambiguous, so I used my discretion a lot.

                        The whitewas is my first, and i was pretty happy with it. i just sprayed white over the Grey undercoat, nothing ingenious.

                        I have plans for a Dio for this, but will sit on it for a while I think.

                        Well, here it is.









                        If anyone is still checking in here, I'd love to hear any comments.

                        sorry guys n galls, due to work and other commitments i am going to have to drop out of this group build, this is a real shame because i was looking forward to getting my SAS landrover finished, i have had to box it back up with it half completed and some of the corrections done.
