Well done, Derek. That kubel sure looks great. The base is also very good. You need to teach the driver to drive that thing though. He-he-he.

Superb job.

DONE!!!

Tamiya's Kubelwagen (new kit) straight OOB.
The fig. needs some work and I'm not too good with them so he may be a while.

For pics of the rest of the Dio go to the Dio forum, here I just included the Kubel which was my subject for this GB.

Comments and criticisms welcome as always.

Chill, Feld & Dwight. They all look great guys. (I presume I'm looking at the Jeep Chill, not the ...err....wingy thing)

Been busy this past week, so only a little done to the Daimler: Raised bolted floor panel, cable tunnel, Hand brake and lever, gear preselector and cable guide and driver seat supports all added from scratch built items. Gotta get into it some more next day or so.

Dwight,, that was the mesh they included in the kit. After all the troubles I had with it, I wish I had spent the money on the PE kit for it. Next one I do I will know to get the PE kit.

Thanks

It is an old kit that is being reproduced here by Tamiya in the Philippines. The fit is good although not really perfect. The details are quite OK. It is very easy to build and it does include 2 figures and lots of stuff that make it good for a dio..

Nice to do for a change.

"Sherm" on the GPA although "dio-freak" is catchy.

Rich,

I missed the pics of your 222 earlier. It looks really good. What material did you use for the steel mesh?

Claymore,

Thanks. Which one? The "Dio-freak"? or the name "Sherm" on the GPA?

Well while I am doing the other stuff(jerry can, boxes, etc.) , figures and the base, here are the pics of my Ford GPA. The pics are a bit dark as I took them last night. Anyway once everything is done...I'll get a pic with sufficient lighting.

Well she did not come out pretty well but anyway I'll keep it as it is.Big Smile [:D]

Gdarwin: I think I'll leave the bumper off.

I'll post pics of the completed dio when finished.

Well it seems that I have pretty much no time for anything since we are haveing to work about 70 hours a week. So if someone else would like to do the website drop me an email and I will give you all the info for it. At this time I do not have the time to even hardly build anything let alone keep the site up like it needs to be. Won't take alot web knowledge to do it, just some basic experience.

"Diofreak"...now that sounds a little scary, don't you think? LOL.

Actually I don't really make a dio with every model I build. This is just a bit special as this kit was given to me a a gift. So in appreciation to the giver, I'll try to give it my best shot to be able to come up with a good presentation with it.

Anyway I am thinking about the name.

Dwight "The Diofreak" Ta-ala...Ohhh sounds intimidating. LOL.
