Hey Bish, may I enter with Italery's Harvard Mk. IIa, Canadian markings,  in 1:48? It will be my first aircraft build in a loooong time. Beside, all them hotshot pilots would be nowhere without a trainer aircraft, so I am gonna build one.

Cheers...

castel, i just checked on tha kit, and i am not sure that would fit. The kit markings are for one based in canada so that would not be under RAF comand i am afraid. The RAF one would work of course but unfortunatly not the Canadian one.

Bish, here is my Airfix Boulton Paul Defiant...Sorry I did not do it as a work in progress. I did take pictures with my tablet, but they are somewhere lost in the "clouds". I was wondering since someone else is doing a Defiant, may I have a "do-over". In my small, shrewdly acqired, eclectic stash, I have 3 RAF possibilities, a Bristol Bulldog, a Smer Supermarine Walrus, and a plane whose name must not be spoken. I was wondering if I could switch to the Walrus. Again my apologies. Forgive me I am a newb....

Sorry for the bad photo...can't get LePan to transfer photos. My IT guy(nephew) is working on it. Only option is my $50 point and shoot.

No worries das, its the effort that counts. That looks rather nice, good work on the paint job. i'll add it to the front page as our first completed.

And you can enter as many as you wish, so i will put the Walrus on the roster, which kit and scale is it. Hopfully you can get the photo's sorted out.

This GB is jumping! You really hit a cord with this one Bish. I have a question. What does the crab stand for on the badges?

It certainly is, i just hope it keeps up.

The inter service nickname of the RAF is Crad Air with RAF personel being known as Crabs or Crabbies.

That's neet, I figured it was something historical.

There's several reason given for the name, and these tend to have some historical link, as does most of these names.

DasBeave - Nice job on the Defiant.  I hear the 1/48 Airfix kit is very nice.  You've certainly done well by her !

Man...go away for a weekend and the GB jumps five pages with amazing work, new builds being added, and the fellowship and rederic that I for one enjoy! Lololol... By the by, I LOVE Fawlty Towers! Don't have a sub to Netflix, but used to see it on PBS years ago. Any way, need a little rest but soon as the sun shines again, I'll catch up! Take care all! Hope every ones weekend was a good one!

Toshi: Looks great, almost a shame to close it up in the fusilage where the cockpit's harder to see.

Steve: Good to hear you got the decals and nice job on the Spit, looks very sinister in black.

DasBeav: Sharp work there!!! Would love to see her from a few more angles.

Thanks Gam,

I sprayed the Zero silver followed by AK Interactives chipping fluid. Tomorrow I will start the camo.

Here is a pic of that goofy metalic blue the Japanese used on their gear doors and wheel wells.
