Mr. Toshi,

I agree with Checkmateking, your instrument panel looks phenomenal.

Greg: I watch the Doc on Netflix, too, but was disappointed that they're only running six seasons/series. I was watching today and sanding seams, and it just ran out. I understand that there are seven out there, and number eight will be the last.

I didn't know that. We'll have to keep an eye open for sure. IMDB should have an series (season) count. (Bish says 'series', we say 'season'. You say tomawto, I say......). Oh brother, time for bed.

BTW, at the risk of beating this subject to death, this time around watching Doc, I find myself in real life saying "Oh gawwwwd" far too often.

scottrc:  Haven't seen Foyle's War.  Is it good?  On the plus side, Netflix added Fawlty Towers; always good for a laugh.

Bossman:  Great looking Hurricane.  Paint work is outstanding!

Toshi:  That's a fantastic level of detail; you can virtually read the instruments.  Nice work!

Thank you sir.  I'm surprised at the detail of the gauges.  Tamiya really did a great job in engineering this kit.  Thank you for the read and reply.

Scott, you should jump on in!

Chris, paint job is looking good. The dark earth sure looks good.

Toshi, your IP is looking FANTASTIC Yes. I though you said step 7 had you a little baffled. You sure got un-baffled fast.  Wink

Thank's Greg.  It was definitely difficult, I had to do everything slowly.  Mrs. Toshi got involved with the assembly of the IP.  I did the gauges.  Thank you for your support in my builds.

Thanks Greg, I am jumping in this morning.

Any group build with Toshi in it has to be exciting, he is just so full of modeling moojo.

Checkmate, check out Foyls War, you won't be dissapointed, its pretty low key but the character developement and acting is so well done it puts an edge on the story that keeps you watching.

Here is another kit from the stash that is rumored to be full of challenges.  I got it from the Squadron bargin bin a few years ago at Eaglequest for $5.  There are no English instructions and the decals are real funky.   If anyone followed my past group builds, I seem to have a pattern of building lemon kits.  The Roden Albatross, Encore Grumman Goose, then lately, a 1/700 Tamiya Enterprise that had the Hornet packed in the box, I must love a challenge.

Toshi, that IP is really impressive, and you are really doing it justice. Nice.

With all this Brit TV talk and great model building, its hard to keep up. Just how a GB should be, great work guys.

Thanks Bish for adding me.

I am going through the instructions and making notes.  I have my old Albatross next to me so note what NOT to do on this build.  One is to not assemble the engine until the fueslage is jigged up so that engine assembly can be adjusted to fit into the fuselage.  That was a huge problem with Albatross and what I have read, on this kit as well.  The kit came with the extra details for the cockpit that are not shown in the instructions.  I found a couple of Youtube videos of this kit that are really going to help.

I have never done a Roden kit, though they have several early He 111's that i would not mind. I will be keen to see how this come together and it might encourage me to pluck up some courage and get one of those 111's.

Well done, Toshi!  Very nice work.

scottrc:  I'll definitely check out Foyle's War, then.

Always liked the look of the SE 5.  I've got a few Roden kits in 1/72, but haven't attempted them, so your build will be very informative.  Your Albatros looks good, too.

Back to the plastic for the rest of the day.

Chris: Good luck on finding your missing part. She looks good so far!

Toshi: Great job there on the instrument panel. Great detailing but you did a great job there bringing it to life.

Scott: Wow, that looks awesome. Haven't built many Great War aircraft but I love the look of them.

BTW: Those sound like great shows. I'm not that familar with UK TV outside of Monty Python and that other show about a Doctor...

Again, supper looking pit Toshi.

I received the Zero's decals today so I'll jump back on that. With my Badger 015 AB in the shop for the moment I am really struggling. I have a basic Badger single action vacuum feed that I just can't get to spray right, however the Zero doesn’t require too much finesse for it’s paint job so I should be able to solder on.

I painted the spit with black primer and will go over that with silver.

Hey Bish, may I enter with Italery's Harvard Mk. IIa, Canadian markings,  in 1:48? It will be my first aircraft build in a loooong time. Beside, all them hotshot pilots would be nowhere without a trainer aircraft, so I am gonna build one.

Cheers...
