Thumbs Up [tup] Success!

Nah, the size is fine. Frame & suspension look good. It's a dead ringer for my Cuda frame. I think I read somewhere that the Challenger frame is 1/8" longer than the Cuda, though.

Anyway, good to see some progress photos.

Looking great! You're moving along much faster than I am and frankly doing a better job. Is the exhaust aftermarket for both cars or was that OOB?

I now have the engine and suspension mounted to the frame so I'll post pics this weekend.

As promised, a couple of progress pics. I'm still using my old craptastic digital camera so I apologize for the picture quality. Distributer and fan are off the engine while I wait to install spark plug wires later.

The exhaust was a pain. It's molded into the underbody so painting it was difficult at best. If you look close on the underside, the Censored [censored] exhaust has a bad spot where the molded in exhaust and headers come together. They were off by 1/8", so I had to do some puttying, sanding and repainting to get it close. So far that's the only fit issue I've had to deal with. I'm sure there will be others.

I've decromed the bumpers and headlights and am beginning bodywork now.

I debated the underbody color for awhile, but finally said heck with it and painted it the future body color. We'll see if that was a good decision or not. I don't do cars often so I might as well take a risk when I do.

paknick I know the feeliing of no money, you have to watch for the deals or have a good friend that owns a hobby store, I am lucky on the latter. Richard has been a good friend to me and tries to get me the best deals. I have been running on a shoe string budget for a year and a half. hopefully I can get back to work in the next year or so.

no money definatly sucks, been there myself.

arki, I think the red was a good choice, makes everything stand out.

platnum, like that exhaust, I didnt know that someone sold am wires and distributors. I usually drill out the top of the distributors and insert the wires into the top and glue em in. For wires I use florist wire (picked up at walmart), seems to work good.

progress on mine is slow, I have the color on the main body, and everything on the frame, but am at a point of more scratchbuilding to put in things that were not included in the kit ( coil, steering box, things like that).
I will try to get a picture of the purple wonder tomorow.

good work all

happy modeling

yes inpw1 put them in on most of my cars. richard orders them from somewhere. they are aluminum. I think they are poured and not machined. I also use a fine wire used foer wireing and other stuff. found a huge bundle of it when i moved into this house. but works great.

well all, here is some pictures, still have a long way to go though:
