thanks arki, It'll look even better with the copper fade on the nose :D . I kinda like all the orange decals on it too, sets off nice against the purple.

welcome brianna, we started (well some of us did) a month ago. Some havnt so fortunate due to complications. I think you need to ask Packnik, but i dont see a problem myself.

Gotta go, might actually start on the nose tonight.........

happy modeling all

Progress report: There is none. The office has been killing me so my modeling time is few and far between. What time I have has been focused on the P-51. I'm so close to finishing it that I'm holding off on other builds until it's done.

That sounds good.so start date:June 20 to December....31?

brianna21, Sign - Welcome [#welcome] and see above. You have plenty of time, but PakNick can confirm this. I still have a month of work to go on mine, at least.

YES!!!! BACK IN THE US!!!! MAN I MISSED BUILDING!!!
hopped right on the chevy..... cut all the swing arms for the wheels...gonna lower this baby to the "aspahlt" more like desk top. still thinking if i should chop the top, and cant decide for the wheels... classic whitewalls, or new spoked ones

heres just a mock pic: this is the chevy, i painted it (handpainted=BIG MISTAKE) so i have to strip the paint, and repaint it and this is with the spoked rims i want to put on, this or WWs, its dropped to the desk top, (its just the chasis with the wheels loosly to the sides, and the body on top)
and this is an old chevy pickup that i did, i didnt finnish it yet, but i plan to.....sometime.... the flames are handpainted and it has pinstriping on the fenders and the bed cover

DOUBLE D what is the scale of the motor that you need. I did not see yourscale anywhere. of course I might have missed it. I have a blown 396 here 1/24 with trans. and I know I have a 427 w/ a six pack too. just takes time to find all of this stuff.

I've actually managed to get some work done on the Cuda, mostly bodywork though. The front grille assembly needed some attention so that's where I'm at. Slow, tedious work with nothing really to post pictures of yet.

Hi guys,
here's a couple of photos of my Revell-Monogram '67 Corvette 427, as I am almost finished now. Just some decals and mirrors to add. It's not perfect by a long way as you can probably tell from the photos, but I am getting better.
First is a general photo:

and here's a photo of inside;

It's been fun, if a little frustrating as it wasn't an awfully good model to start with. Lots of parts that didn't quite fit properly - some that just were never even designed to fit it would seem. Overall though most of the faults were small and well hidden.

Looks great Paul! You know, some of that orange peel you have could be removed by a little wet-sanding with a fine grain (3600 or higher). Run some polishing compound over it after wetsanding and you'd have a near mirror finish.

Besides that I don't really see anything wrong with it. Good job and thanks for posting.

yup looking good, To me a finished build is a good build. you learn more each time you finish. as for me, my biggest challange for me is to find a place to show them off and keep the dust off of them. or my wife will make the disappear. she is good at that.Disapprove [V]
