Hi Tony

Hey buddy looks like you have things under control, she's looking good. It can be frustrating when trying new techniques, but the only way to learn is to do it. I remember the first time I tried the white wash tech with hair spray, not good, the wife gave me some dirty looks for the bombs I dropped trying to remove the white. once the weathering starts things will look better, as yours does now.

Here is a shot at my first attempt.

Keep up the good work Tony and try to think positive, oh and have fun.Big Smile

Tony,

I'm not 100% sure, would have to go back and read up a bit to be certain, but I believe that they didn't use them on every link but instead spread them out ever 2 or 3 links in order to improve traction. FWIW, since they are only really visible on the links that show on the sprocket and idler, that's where I would install them vs. adding them to every single link but others might say that's cheating a bit. Big Smile

One other thing before I forget...you might want to trim off the little sight projections on the hull MG. Those weren't used on the tank-mounted MG34s since the sighting was done via the small circular aperture and scope vs. an over-the-barrel sight like you would see with a regular infantry-use MG34. Thanks Bill. Looking at what pictures i've got they all have snow packed in the links and I can't tell one way or the other. I didn't count how many there are in the package but it doesn't look like enough to do ever link.

Before I installed the mg I thought I should cut them off but the instructions showed them in place so I left them on. It would be easy to clip them off and touch up the raw spots.

I'll put that on the list for tomorrow.

The Vikings should have won that game, sloppy very sloppy.Smile

Tony, it's looking great so far; I put the ice cleats on every third link so they would show up better, Every fourth link was the norm, but I didn't think you could notice them on the model quite as well that way, so I gave my shoes a little more bite on my Brummbar.

OH MY that is one more good looking Brummbar Karl.Toast

I believe you guys are right, with only every forth link they wouldn't be that noticeable but every third or maybe second they would show up a lot better.

Thanks guys

Judging by the photos I've been able to dig up the every-fourth-link seems to be about right from a realism standpoint but have to agree with Karl, it doesn't show them off nearly as well as every-third-link does. I wouldn't go to every-second-link though, just my 2 cents

Hey Tony that looks great , i love the finnish youve achieved on this. Those Tracks, are they the Dragon ones? im doing an E10 with them on at the moment and i had to sand the injector pins(2 on each thack link) of all of them. Man what a tedious job that was especially as there were four sets of tracks included in the kit and the rubber band type had great detail and no injector marks. They would have gone together in about two seconds.  Saddly they didnt have the extra width ones,Took me two nights to sand the dragon ones.
