Okay, this might be easy. Then again, maybe not. Mischief [:-,]

In the TV series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, the two-part episode Planet of the Slave Girls featured a character named Brigadier Gordon. At the climax of the episode, both he and Buck share a conversation where Gordon tells Buck that he's been at this sort of thing for a long, long time, way before Buck was born. Buck asks "You think so?" to which Gordon replies: "I know so."

What is the paradox to this conversation?

Because Buck is over 500 years old, having been born in the 20th century...

So easy for us old farts

The man who played Gordon was Buster Crabbe - who played Buck Rogers back in the 30's as well as playing Flash Gordon also in the 30's

His characters name was a salute to the parts he'd originated

Na, just run them over with my walker Cool [8D]

Easy one, since I'm not a trivia guru by any shakes

One gentleman who played all three main alien races in StarTrek also had a regular role on another Sci-Fi program

What was that other Sci-Fi program and what was his role

Mark Lenard who played a Klingon in Star Trek TMP, A Romulan in the origianl series "Balance of Terror" episode, and of course, the Vulcan Abassador Sarek. He also appeared in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century as Ambassador DuVoe

Good try

But I did say "Regular Role"

Not a one-shot appearance

hope yall didn't think I was dead or something................ lol.

Oh, and sorry STV, needed to move this along.......

Andy Dick.

His line was: "I'm a doctor, not a commando!"

Anyone up on Mark Lenard trivia would have gotten it

He played General Urko on the short lived Planet of the Apes TV series - he appeared in 11 of the 14 episodes

The problem I had with it is there are a number of people who had either reapearing roles, or played bit parts through the series that also were in orther scifi series.

Take ST:TNG & The Bionic Man, as an instance.

Yes, Rob, but I gave you "Mark Lenard" in the original question - he's the only one to play all three MAIN alien races in ST - that should have narrowed it down

For those who remember Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons:

With the exception of the Angels, every member of Spectrum was assigned a colour such as Captain Scarlet and Doctor Fawn. Why is the commander-in-chief titled Colonel White?

Ill venture a guess and say that since the dude is the top rank, it would make sense he would be named after the furthest color on the spectrum, black being the other

Ok, Carrying on the Captain Scarlet theme:

How many Spectrum Officers were taken over by the Mysterons during the series?

Name them?

For a bonus, name the episodes in which they were Mysteronised

Four.

Captains Scarlet, Black and Brown, in the premier episode "The Mysterons." Only Scarlet was freed from the Mysterons' control after his second death.

Captain Indigo, "Spectrum Strikes Back."

Thank you. I have quite the collection of Gerry Anderson merchandise (DVDs, models, books, card sets), which far outstrips anything I have on other sci-fi shows. Thumbs Up [tup]

This thread needs new life! Since it's been dead so long, I figured I'd get the ball rolling again...

In the Video-game series, "Halo," specifically Halo 2 "The Arbiter" was supposed to have a different name. What was that name and why was it changed?

was it named the 'we can make 100000000 of these games that are basically the same and make trillions-biter'?
