Ok so I think this one will be easy, but I want the game to progress so,

How was the soud for the Tie Fighter created, and for bonus points (worth nothing of course)  Who designed the sound?

Okay, for those out there who are Gerry Anderson fans, here's one:

UFO (pronounced you-foh in the series) featured a top secret agency dubbed the Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization, or SHADO (shadow) for short. Taking place in 1980 and beyond, in 1996 it evolved into the Global Defence Command, according to published "history." A new series tentatively named UFO 2 was to take place in the year 1999, with Moonbase greatly expanding in size and abilities.

UFO 2, however, was never made. Name the show that did replace it.

As a bonus, name the heavy fighter craft that were supposed to replace the short-range SHADO Interceptors. (And yes, it did exist.)

More likely the Hawk - the Eagle was more a multi-purpose trash hauler, but the Hawk was described as a "heavy fighter". Only appeared in one episode if I recall correctly.

 The Eagle was the replacement for the Interceptor, according to Mike Trim.

Space:1999 is correct, but the Eagle was not the intended heavy fighter. The Mark Nine Hawk was the Interceptor's replacement in the event of a massive, concentrated UFO invasion, as the Eagle was designed from the onset as a transporter, and only seven Eagles were equipped with light armament.

According to Starlog #32 (March 1980), the Hawk was tested successfully in 1996 and eight were commissioned in 1997. The Hawk Support Base was completed aboard the Centauri space dock to cut launch time to the barest minimum, but shortly afterwards, the sporadic UFO attacks mysteriously stopped, with none of the Hawks having seen active service. The remaining Hawks were destroyed on September 13, 1999 when the Centauri blew up during the Moon's breakaway.

I was going to say it was Carrie Fisher, who played Captain Janeway on "Star Trek: Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", and The Evil White Queen in "Dirty Harry: Beyond Thunderdome"...

See, that's the answer I was trying to bait people toward, but he never actually said that in the movie 2001.  It's part of 2010's recap of 2001, and I think it was in the novel version of 2001 as well...
