                        hey all....
                        i posted this in the painting section, but i thpough id post it here aswell....
                        now i keep on hearing bout krylon spray cans, and how theyre used for modelling and dont damage the plastic.... now i would like a spray paint like this to use for primers, instead of using my ab....
                        now i wanna know if there is a similar kind o spray paint i can get here in australia?
                        i havent seen the krylon brand around, so is there a similar paint i can get here in oz that acts the same( doesnt damage plastic)???

                        I think I'm in an empty forum. I wonder if everyone has left the country? Mmm.

                        If anyone is listening, my first foray into 1/48th scale, a Special Hobby SPAD VII is progressing, with my girlfriend, Tanya, egging me on. Perhaps I can finish it before my usual scheduled year per model.

                        Tominator You can buy Krylon in Australia. There is a store in Canberra that imports it. I think it was about $13.95 when I looked into it a few months ago. The gloss black is a good primer for alclad apparently. Here's the link to the shop with Krylon:

                        Did you blokes read about the JSF project being stalled again? Apparently the RAAF and the Fed Government are looking at lease or puchase alternatives. Could be F-15E, F-18E or F-22's!

                        For those interested in Australian Bren Gun Carriers, I have just taken a heap of photos of the Australian modified Bren Gun carrier and 2 Pdr conversion that was being restored at Bandiana here in Victoria. There are only two still known to be in existence in Australia and they are currently BOTH here. The second one is privately owned and will soon be up for sale for $12000 - $15000.

                        I will be getting them on to the Aussie Modeller website as soon as I can.

                        Just returned home from a great day at Avalon Airshow

                        All the usual aircraft were there F15 F16 F18 F111 Mustangs P40 Harvards etc. The most interesting Flying display was the C-17 Globemaster II being put through its paces. On Static display was the Aussie Tiger helicopter, the new Wedgetail plus an RAF Nimrod. Ohhh Yeahhhhh!

                        Hey guys.. Chris in Japan here.. I have been hanging out in the aircraft, helicopter boards of late, and am amazed that 20 pages have been added since my last post in here WOW!..

                        Anyways.. When I return back from my short trip home to Australia, I am going to get started on my RAAF FA-18A, and the 2 seater FA-18B.. I plan on doing the A in 3 squadron "High Visability". And the B two seater in the 3 Squadron "Low Visibility" schemes..

                        Anyone done any of these? I would love to see some pics and listen to any ideas that you may have.. I will be doing them both in 1/72 scale and they are the Hasegawa kits!

                        Anyone know where in Brisbane I can get a good set of decals for both these kits?

                        I'm very jealous. I was planning to travel down for it but work got in the way. Did they have the F/A-18 painted in the Oz flag scheme? Sounds like a drab idea but it looks fantastic.

                        well hello again guys , been away for a couple of days so sorry for not getting back to you sooner.About myself ? not much to say other than I've started modelling only since Oct 04 so I can only bring my enthuasium and love to the hobby. I model japanese ww2 aircraft in 1/32 scale. I've have built a hasegawa zreo A6M5c, hasegawa Ki-43 Hayabusa and a Doysha zero A6M2 and currently I'm working on a Doysha George .I'm really happy with them.but a long way to go before I start to get to the same level as the photo's on this forum. Need advise on most topics, where to start on air-brush's would be one of them.
