Nice batch of purchases Steve. You've got land, sea, and air covered in that batch Wink

Well I’ve been slowly adding to the flyboys section of my stash over the past few weeks, so now it’s time to share…

first up, some decals for the Hind in my stash that I had been wondering how to mark

I took a chance and ordered them from Ukraine in early April, and they actually arrived within a few weeks.

Next up is this gorgeous set for late career USMC Skyhawks. I can make at least two Scooters off this sheet, and possibly might acquire one more, as they have an F in the TPS grays!

then I picked up this old decal set since I’m feeling the urge to model some Yellow Wings stuff… I haven’t done that since I was a kid

and lastly this just arrived in todays mail, purchased off eBay for a fine price. It’s the old Hobbycraft molds, which arent bad at all, but it has a fabulous Cartograph decal sheet with about eight markings options.

That’s all for now ;)

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Thanks BK, I just bought the HK 1/48 Lank for SP's lightning sale. Love that bomber and seemed a decent price.

I really need to stop, I have a house to rebuild Tongue Tied

Steve, I see you found the Yamato gun set for sale on Spruebros. I almost went for it myself. I want that Stug. I think the Stug is the coolest German armor ever. Not really a tank I've been told, but more an APV apparently. Still very cool kit. I'll have to put that on the wish list.

It's like Christmas in May around here

I pre-ordered this one months ago.  The glare of the light obscures the 2022.  Yep current year, racing today body style Camaro.  Nice looking kit molded in blue, white, black, gray and clear.  Complete decals so technically you could build this without painting at all and have a decent looking model.  Pretty cool.  I don't watch a lot of NASCAR, but when I do Kyle Larson is my driver.

Saw an ad that Elliot's #9 in Napa livery is also out at mega hobby.  Was tempted, but so far been fighting it.

It took me awhile to recall, but the figures I got for my FURY build ar TUSK brand. They are the nicest 1/35 I've seen. I will have to get more picked up.

BK

Yeah, I just orders a truckload of figures from Aliexpress. Not sure if they're Tusk or not but they sure look nice. I'll post whne they come in.

In the mean time. I've been naughty again, and got a few more kits.

I've gotten behind on my Takom turrets so I'm trying to catch up. This is such a huge box.

I guess I need the Misssouri main and Bismarck secondary now.

Those are awesome BK! Can't go wrong with classic Tamiya kits!! And thanks, bleach blonde is probably right. Hope the mods don't yell at me but I was thinking if she keeps unzipping that jumpsuit we may find out what colour her original hair is... Stick out tongue

Steve: Ohhhhhh I love those figures! Going to have to check out that brand myself, never heard of them.

Keavdog you're gonna love that kit. I got to see a whole set Finishedup at the Indianapolis show last month. The vendor showed us all their cool engineering and the way the Precolored bodies and the vinyl wrap decals work together!

BK email me at cvandegr at i cloud as i have tons of stuff. In addition I'm in the middle of writing an ipms mag article on the electronic side of things you can read as well. My build is in MC's American Ships GB.

Hey keavdog, saw a review done on you tube of these new cars, Chase Elliot, to be exact and they look like real fun and stress free kits to build. Now if they produce the 4 Stewart/HAAS or Penske cars my stash will grow.

Steve, I really like those figures. May have to pick some up.

Mongoose, thanks for the heads up on the Rex. May have to peg it down. On the Big E I would love any info you have. Planning on a mid 80's era timeframe for the  build. So I need to know what AC it would have had, squadrons, and any ideas where to find tons of pics.

I picked up a few that have recently arrived. Others still on the way. Couldn't pass up 55% off on the Panther and $19 on the Panzer. Been wanting the Enterprise for some time now, finally pulled the trigger. I'm gonna light it and make the radars rotate as well and scratch the hanger bay up. Looking forward to a long build here. The Rex was an idea from one of you who did a kit with their grandson. This thing is solid resin, not hollow and weighs a ton. The decals and whatnot are for a 1/24 BF-109E a dear friend gifted me. This will be a massive bird. Looking forward to building it as well.

BK

BK the TxRex is gonna look awesome. Careful though he's so off balance he likes to eat dirt more than baby tritops.

Drop me a line on the Enterprise if you need anything. Did that for 5 months as my stay at home Covid build. Full lighting and hangar bay. Love your idea for the rotating radars. Gonna make that top shelf!

on my end a buddy and I are doing a couple of mano o mano builds. We just picked up the big Trumpy SuperHornet! Mine will be in Digi camo

Nice stuff BK. I like that Razor Crest

Well I finally received those Tusk US Pacific Marines. I love these Tusk figures. This set has 9 total figures. These are why I bought the Sherman

Pick up some more kits for the right price. Had to wait for some and that took awile. Not sure why but some of what I'm getting is coming out of Europe rather than from here in the States. Oh well, at least I got them.

Nice adds there Steve. Those are nice kits. Good luck on the house, but get the hobby room done first, we must have our priorities straight ya know.

Gamera, nice add for the bike. That should be interesting to see built up. You do know she's really a bleach blonde anyway, right?

Real G: Thanks! I know a local sushi chef. I might ask him for advice on how to build the perfect roll. Don't think I'm going to paint it though, the plastic has the kinda shiney translucent look of real rice and fish.

Steve: Good luck with the house and WOW some nice additions there! I've really enjoyed the HobbyBoss and Takom kits I've built but haven't built anything by Border and U Star is totally new to me. I don't build much 1/48th armour so is that most of what they make? Cool RE2000 too, I've got a few Sword kits but haven't built any yet.

It's about time I started to get back into this thread.

My latetest addition, well not yet exactly, is a 1/1 1750 sq ft house in northern texas. It's a....how should I say, glue bomb that I'll need to take apart, clean up and reassemble. That should take a few years to complete but assuming my closing date stays and the loan passes the underwriters (less that $100K than I was pre qualled for). I'll be moving my goods and my presious stash in on the 28th.

Becides that, I have been a busy guy.

Most were bought during Sprue Bros sales.

I ordered some Pacific Marines walking up a road from Tusk so (of course) I needed something to go with them. I'll get the AM wood planks for the sides.

Great stuff guys!!! Esp love that big honkin' T-Rex Brandon!!! Heart

I've been a good boy and kept from buying anything for a little while. But then this figure came in at HobbyLink Japan so I ordered a few other things to fill out the order. Sorry couldn't help myself.

I bought the figure to go with the 1/12th bike I bought last year. Blond Girl Rider, hmmmm. Well, I'm painting her as a brunette.

I like brunettes better and I'm just the sort of Censored who likes to ice skate uphill...

And another car. I think it's due to me playing a lot of Forza IV: Horizon. Frankly I suck at it but it's still fun to drive insanely expensive cars when you don't have to pay for repairs when you keep slamming into someone's farm equipment in the middle of the road.

And she looks totally badass. Next I have to build one. I keep reading about how to get gloss paints done but still can't seem to get them right.

And 1/1th sushi, I couldn't help myself. It's sooooooo weird! And the 1/24th Japanese granny with a gun. Pretty weird too. Seems she was in some Japanese survival show and became a fan favorite. It's a Japanese granny with a big gun- how can you top that??? Maybe I'll have her driving the Lamborghini.... hmmmmmm......

Nice!  I have this kit as well.  I've jumped on EBBRO kits when I see them and yes there is certainly a Tamiya affiliation.  Check this article out: https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/archive/article/october-2017/200/featured-modelmaker-ebbro And you best join the F1 GB - I want to see this go together before I build mine.  BTW - you can order the missing sponsor decals here: https://www.indycals.net/decals/f1/70lotus49c.html

Thank You very much for the links John. Terrific info. Love to see folks branching out and molding such unique subjects. I ordered the decal set as well as the Tamiya seatbelt set. Unfortunately, Hobbyworld has the red and gold Zero paint set for the Type 49 on backorder. Hoping to pick that up as well even though gold decals are supplied with the kit.

I'm holding off on a total commit to the GB until I get a couple of other builds cleared from my bench. I do have good intentions though. I do greatly appreciate the invite.

JOE RIX

I was browsing around on ebay and came across this really cool F1 kit. I've seen some of the other Ebbro kits around and considered them but, this was the first time I'd seen this one. I am rather fond of the 60-70's F1 cars and opted to jump on it. Upon it's arrival I broke open the box and grabbed the instructions. My immediate reaction was "These are Tamiya instructions." So my question is, is Ebbro in someway a subsidiary of Tamiya? Either way, it appears to be an impressive lit with excellent detail and molding.

And, yes John, I am considering getting this into your F1 GB.Hmm

Drums: You scored yourself some mighty sweet deals. Love the idea you have for the Camaro. That should be some righteous fun. Gotta love it when you get the bonus bonus deal at HL.

Steve5: Gorgeous sailing ship kit. You have my admiration for building one of those. Nice.

Brandon: Suberb haul my friend. That Enterprise is a dandy and I'm hugely impressed with your plans for it. I look forward to that. Nice armor and the T Rex is way too cool.

Pat: Love the Surfite. Nothing wrong on the collection of Imprezas. I think it is really cool to have a connection and to have several schemes to choose from. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing your pics of the completed builds.

Yes I bought another one of these too! I bought and built the first one in 2016, how time flies!

News Update! The kit was delivered today 04.05.22. The kit is still in the factory sealed bag, but the box and instructions look to have been stored for a number of years in a very damp place! On checking both the date shown is 1965!

Update, 08.05.22. I've cut open the bag today and checked all of the parts for molded info. On the underside of one part it has 'Ed Roth 1965'. The damaged box has on printed on it ' Revell Inc Venice California, Copyright 1962-1965' If it was a re-issue it would have on the box ' Revell-Monogram Morton Grove, IL with a 1993 copyright date'. So it's that old!

Remember , common sense is not common.

I built the Triceratops a few years back and yeah, they're heavy. Nice kit though and fun to make your own color scheme
