I SAID I was going to get easy on adding to the bloated hoarder-like stash I have but I couldn't help it- the T-50 was so CUTE I had to add it!

The T-50 was supposed to be the new standard Soviet light tank in 1940. Until they found out that it cost as much and consumed as much time to build as a medium tank. With the German invasion of '41 Stavka decided they're really prefer more T-34 medium tanks than expensive T-50 lights. So only 67 or so were built.

But it's so CUTE!!!

Hi,

I almost forgot about these two.  I picked the T-34 up from a local Habby store a week or so agao, and I picked up the Dry Dock and Destroyer off eBay, since it seemed to be something out of the ordinary.

Welp, I went almost two months without adding anything to the stash.  Oh well, I had a gift certificate to use that I received for Christmas!

These are such cool vehicles.  I was blessed with the AFV Club iteration in the Secret Santa GB, but I have this one in the stash as well.

Tony, it will indeed be a Russ project... just don't know when yet...

John, I haven't compared the barrel lengths yet, but a SWAG says the T-72 barrel will be longer. The M51 used a slightly reduced length version of the same 105mm gun that used on the AMX-30. And no, it won't be that SU-152, but an older model T-72.

Which barrel is longer: That T-72 turret or your Super Sherman?

I see this Su-152 Taran next in your list of builds :P

I was looking for some mesh to add to my H-19 and the couple things I had didn't look right.  Poked around and found this on Amazon for 12.68

304 Stainless Steel Woven Wire Mesh #80 Mesh - Hole 0.18mm, about 1ft x 3ft

Thanks,

John

Nice!  I think the Paladin is a wicked looking beast.  Glam just saw one built up recently in the 2020/21 Secret Santa thread.

I picked this up for $9.99 on ebay

Thanks,

John

Keyserj
Definitely going to have to do a diorama for the flak gun.

Teah, I have a Dragon that needs a good dio as well. Probably make a Flak gun near Berlin out of it.

Snap, not sure what i am doing with mine. I did make a nice one with that Tamiya 88 years ago but don't have that now. I might try and re-do that one.

That's some haul, Bish!  It all looks good, the longbowman especially  is very interesting.  I've yet to work with resin, so I look forward to seeing those armour kits on your bench, esp the CETBig Smile

Not a bad start is it. I did build their Snatch Land Rover last year and will be doing the Land Rover Defender for an Iraq war GB next year, but i want to get to the CET as soon as i can. You just have to take more time with resin, especially before committing to glue.

Those are nice Bish! Yeah, Arma is really a contender. I'm going to pre order their Mk.III Mustang soon. That's cool that a friend of yours sculpts figures! I'd like to watch that.

One of the guys briought in their new Mustang on Tues, boxed, and it looks as good as the F4. Can't wait to see some builds on their kits. It really is amazing to watch especially when you see them evolve over time.

I'm with you Bish.  I exercised a lot of restraint the second half of last year and then 2022 unleashed the buy buy buy.  Nice haul there.  Great box art on all 3 planes... and yes the BF 110 boxing is ridiculous - don't they know stash space is a premium?  The 65mm figures are 1/24th ish?  They look very nice.  I thought the muskets in that era where longer that what he's got.  The longbow guy looks great.

Unfortuantly i didn't, i think i added 3 new kits in the last month alone, my stash went up by 6 last year. I really couldn't believe the size of the box and was shocked when i looked inside. I am glkad i built the 262 last year and have the Ju 88 oiut of the stash for building this year. Ye, i think its about 1/24th. I don't know much about the weapons of the period, i've only read one book on the ECW so far. But from what i can tell there doesn't seem to have been a lot of standaisation and the musket's seemed to have come in a range of size. You had the really long ones that needed a rest, but there were smaller ones. The Longbowman is a nice looking figure, going to be quite a bit of work. I've started the museketeer as i want to take him to the club in May when i take teh bust, so not sure when i will get to the bowman.
