Nice pick on the Muldowney dragster. I got to meet her in 1978 and she was a first class driver and lady all the way. Do you already have the decals your looking for?

For me I got my Junkers JU 52/3m Transport pilots in 1/48 (something I will have to modify) and yes they show as RAF pilots, but they will be modified as German figures when I'm done with them. I ask for a chance to make these work as there is nothing in the market for a seated WW2 German Pilot that is not a fighter pilot. Trust me, these will work:

I just received the 1/35 tank crew from Master Box Ltd. to use with my TACOM Jagdpanther G1:

And last are some 3d printed replacements for the 1/350 IJN Type 96 25mm AA guns sold by Black Cat Models (France) to be used on my current Yamato WIP:

Very Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Lovely Tamiya 109 gift that you received Chad!

Mopar Madness

I'd be curious to know what kind of luck you have with those harnesses.

Im curious to see how they work out myself. Keep an eye on my F8F build, as that's where I'm planning to try them out when I resume that project in a couple of weeks.

Tonight I traded a Weirdos and a Revell GT500 Mustang for a Bag-O-Parts and I'm thrilled! This is almost all of the Revell Shirley Muldowney Dragster. Going to build this unobtainium into the finished thing for the Pink Brea$t$ GB.

Scalemates lists the kit history so I have 5 other kits to look for that will have my missing parts. Going to be a fun time at the next local show Balloons

Well I’ve been nickel and dimming my wingy thingy additions over the past several weeks.

First up I bought these 3-D decal US seat harnesses. I’ll be using them on a project that I’ll resume after the New Years.

Then I picked up this replacement canopy for my long sidelined P-35 build. So that’s one I intend to pull off the sideline in 2022

And lastly I received a reduced price offer for this one on eBay, so I pulled the trigger on it

I'd be curious to know what kind of luck you have with those harnesses.

John: That is a gorgeous display stand. Beautifully done.

Stik: Nice additions you have pulled in. Love the Willow. I actually have 3 of the Entex kits.It is a very cool subject.

A couple of newbies to my stash have arrived.

A new addition to my meager 1/32 stash. Always had my eye on this choice P-47

And, my latest acquisition in my growing Arma Hobby stash. Also added the Hataka acrylic set of paints.

Nice stuff Stick. That Willow looks a lot like  PT-17 Hmm. With the exception of the upper wing sweep

I ordered this stand for the Airbus 380-800 I'm working on.  It's from a diecast site but should work nicely.

Thanks,

John

Nice flak truck Bish. I built the Revell one a few years back.

Like the Kingfisher. A far better looking plane than the Seamew

Dodgy

Hey Bako, was the Vega made by Chrysler? I seem to remember that myself and 3 mates hired a Vega when we were in Hawaii for RIMPAC 75. We toured the island, partied and gernerally played up. Still have the scars to prove it!

No, was a Chevrolet product.  I worked at a dealership in the late '70's.  We nicknamed them "vagrants".  They were the cheap econobox after the fuel crunch here.

Nicely done folks!

Gamera: Nice little haul. The charger is a sweet selection.

Steve: Cool Vega my friend. Love the options you're weighing. Glad your patience paid off.

Bish: Nice snag. good on you for finding your desired kit. I've never purchased off of Scalemates. I will have to give that some consideration.

A couple of new arrivals. As mentioned before I ordered the Kingfisher with USN markings and it arrived. Always had a thing for the 928 so I nailed this on ebay when it came up.

This is the second kit i have picked up on scalemates. Dragon re-released their 35th Sd.Kfz 7/2 in a boxing which allowed you to build the armoured and unarmoured version. But i wanted to avoiud getting that as i have more than enough in my spares box already. So i have been looking for this boxing for a while and it came up from a seller in Austria.

I am a bit wary about byeing kits on their as there is no feedback or anyone to turn to if there's a problem. But i have good experiances so far. There are often hard to get kits on there, some times for big prices but others more reasonable. Thats included this one, a tad over £30 whish included postage, thats good for a Dragon kit.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Cool Bakster!

Thanks John. When I get to building it I think I will do it as street car. I am tempted to buy another one to build as per the box art. And another Vega I want is the Green Elephant from Atlantis. I had the kit in a cart ready to order when I was sucker punched at the very end. The kit on its own is too expensive but when the shipping charges came up, it was a no joy. They wanted $18 to ship, pushing the total cost to over $80.

Nice finds all.

Just pre-ordered the new 1/48 F4-D that's coming next month from Zeveda.  Also got a set of decals from Print Scale for both of Ritche's birds, the D and E.

Worked on the D when I was there, after he rotated... suspect the E was still there, but shark mouth was gone by the time I got there in mid '73, as were all non official markings.

As a side bar, both are preserved as gate birds, the D at the academy, and the E at Bergstrom.
