John: Yeah, I'm really impressed by the likeness. Even better than it's not an official product.

And those Spits and Ju-87s are cool! I grew up too on those kits!

OMG!  Back in the sixties they had posters of some select Monogram kits and that Stuka box top was one of them.  The British Typhoon was another one.  Wish I had those posters again.  Monogram's box art definitely motivated me to buy their kits(along with their price)

Ohhh those are cool guys!!!

Aggie, I think you're buying the whole hobby store! Love those, the kits I grew up with too!

I picked up these zimmerit tools off Ali Express. Don't know how they'll work but they're interesting looking:

And again I didn't need to add anything else either but what the heck:

Two 3D printed John Wick figures: this one in 1/10th scale I think - about 6inchs/15cm tall in the chair:

And the standing figure about four inches/ 10cm tall:

Wow those are pretty good likeness.

Thanks,

John

Aggieman

Well I blew my modeling budget for the next few months.

I've picked up a bunch of old Monogram kits from eBay and Kitlinx, all of which I built several times as a kid.  And honestly, I think I bought these to add to my boxart collection and to have kits for my new grandson, due in October, to build when he gets old enough.

Yeah, I way over-spent on kits.  So no more posts from me for a while (as I eyeball a couple of ICM kits coming some time this year, a Sally and a Marauder).Crying

Man Stephen, it's like you went back to the five and dime I used to go to when I was 10 and bought out the store!  That should keep you busy for a bit.  Can't wait to see your magic on these.

Thanks,

John

Nice score John! Ive never tried using one of those Black Box resin sets. Do you plan on building the F-104 soon?

As for myself, since it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago I went looking on eBay for an old kit and put several on my watch list. One seller sent me a 'special offer' and I made a lower counter offer which he accepted. Yee Haw! The kit arrived a couple of days ago, and while the box shows its age, inside the parts trees are still sealed in their plastic baggies and look in excellent condition... It even comes with a water buffalo tank trailer! Now to find some suitable figures to populate it.

A slightly belated birthday gift self purchase ;)

Picked this up on ebay.  I'd like to see more printed sets like these blackbox resin kits

Thanks,

John

Several new additions to the stash have come in during the last week or so.  Mostly old kits.

I have been acquiring all of the old Monogram baby blue box kits that were available when I was real young.  This one appeared to be one of those, but upon inspection, it was a re-release from the late 90s. Oh well.

Always loved this movie.  I remember almost buying this kit with my allowance several times, but never did because I had built the kit under different boxings several previous times.  And despite having two of those older boxings in my current stash, this time I pulled the trigger on getting it.

And there was no way I was going to resist getting this one:

Picked up this behemoth from the post office last week. Twenty nine sprues and 1300 plus parts. And if I ever finish it, I then have to find a place to put it.

Okay, okay, I SAID I wasn't going to order anything new till Christmas.

Well, that's shot now.

I placed an order with HLJ and all the cool stuff came in last week. I finally got around to taking photos...

Okay, Real G, this is YOUR FAULT!!! It looks like an awesome kit in the box. Looking forward to getting a start on him...

Those look cool guys!

I haven't tried the 3D decals yet John but those look really nice in the bags!

And yeah that 183mm British gun was friggin' insane. I kinda wish they'd went ahead and built them beyond the prototype. But common sense preveiled plus guilded missiles could do the same job. But a friggin' TWELVE TON giant cannon, what's there not to love!?!?!

Tojo: Yeah it's nuts! I wanna do mine in Japanese three-tone camo. It'll really look strange...

Nice stuff Gam - shoulda pulled the trigger on the big gun.

Pat - I expect a 16 car rally dio with all these cars you're building

I have a few of these 3d cockpit 'decals' from the other guys but I thought I'd try these as well.  Truth be told I've yet to use a 3d decal

Thanks,

John

And this is your fault Greysnake, such an oddity, when I saw the Japanese Tiger I had to have it!!!

All joking aside I love you guys, you have great taste!!!

And to fill out the order, a British tank destroyer prototype from the '50s with a 183mm gun. The biggest friggin' anti-tank gun EVAR!!! Sadly common sense prevailed and it was canceiled...

And I'm not sure what is but it was cool looking!!! So what the heck, I'm on a bit of a robot/cyborg obsession these days. I need to start building this stuff before the obsession dies though....
