I know that place! It's diagonally across from Winston Lodge near the corner of EDSA and the road leading to the Airport. The name of the company is Benitex. I buy stuff from them too. They have a limited assortment of resins though... mostly Polyethylene. It's a little toxic so a little dangerous to use eh.

I could be wrong though because I just had a very brief glimpse a couple of weeks back.

Yeah you're right, I made a mistake there. Blush [:I] It's the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. Looks like I was 1 year short. ehehehe. Fell for this car when I saw the remake of the movie Vanishing Point. Would want to see the original 1971 Barry Newman movie though. Big Smile [:D]

That's totally fine. You can easily delete those earlier posts you made by clicking the "delete" button on the upper right hand corner portion of your post.

Muscle cars are nice, but I only seem to find interest on one specific model.... the '69 Dodge Challenger. Can't find a 1:24th scale model of the car in any of the LHS though.
I also have a few racing cars in my to build queue.... They're mostly rally cars and a couple of touring cars.

Now, the hot exotics in scale don't catch my fancy, I often already see them in scale (either model kits or toys) that to see another one is just another recurrence of deja vu. It's a different story when I see the real car in the flesh though... it just takes my breath away. [:0]

Point well taken cbrain. Btw with your "cbrain" handle and location indicated as "boot sector" makes me derive a conclusion that you're not only a modeler but also a pc enthusiast or I.T. person. Anyway, I hope to include in my project list one day a rally version of Mitsubishi's Lancer Evo. It would great to have a scale version of that fantastic car.

Thanks cbrain. I have a few posts, with pics(4 I believe) posted in the auto section. Happy to know I dont have to give up my loved hobbie for a life in paradise. Cant wait to come back for a visit, probably in 2008. Have to wait for my asawa's citizenship to go through and then we have to wait 2 years after that for her to leave the country. Thanks Bush, you COMMUNIST PIG!! Cant wait to be away from this greedy corrupt government.

Hello Scott, nice to have you here. Yay! We have another car modeler! Big Smile [:D] There are quite a number of shops here that have car kits. Most of them are priced at approx. US$10 -US$20.

You'll be surprised if you like Tamiya kits..... I have never found it cheaper in any other place (aside maybe from HongKong) than in Lil's here in the Philippines.

There's also some Revell car kits at around the same price mentioned above.... you can find them in Hobbies and Comics in Makati Cinema Square.

What's rare and rather quite pricey here are the Fujimi and Aoshima brands. Dunno why these kits are overpriced here, quality is even inferior compared to the 1st two I mentioned. They're priced more than US$20. They can be found in Hobbitoi or Special Toy Center.

Hey, glad you enjoyed your stay here in the Philippines. Smile [:)]

Welcome to the thread matey.... There are quite a few local hobby shops which caters to RC cars here in Manila. Unfortunately.... seldom do they have websites or accept online orders.

First of all there's Lil's Futaba (Glorietta and Megamall). They do have a website but I don't think they accept online orders.

There's also Accurate Model Works in Southmall, Las Pinas. They have a joint venture with Lil's. Lil's provides their model kits while they also cater for the RC enthusiasts.

There's Boyel's in Megamall, used to by my cousin's favorite when it comes to RC stuff but last time I went in their shop, I found mostly diecast cars on their shelves.

There's this new shop I found just a couple of weeks ago that seemed to have some RC stuff in Goldcrest, Glorietta.

Heared there's also one in the Powerplant Mall in Rockwell.... The shop's name is Ogini Hobby Plus. Haven't been there yet though.

I know that there are more shops out there but I can't recall all of them. Last time I was "into" the hobby was when I was in grade 6 I'm currently contemplating of returning to the RC hobby in the future though.

E b'at ka ba nagrereklamo ate emjae? I asked you then if you want to share sa expenses kaso you seemed dis-interested then. Didn't even realize you're also interested to have some resin until I read your post here.

I have a friend now to share the cost and cut expenses. But if you want some and share with the cost then do say so. There's always room for more. Tongue [:P]

Is the resin that's worth PhP 120.00 per kilo the R10-103? Inclusive na ba sa price yung hardener nya? If not, how much yun? Do they offer the resin in half-kilo? I don't think I can consume the whole 1 kilo package kasi within 2 months lang e.... sayang naman.

The RTV silicon.... yan din ba yung RTV 585?

There's a branch of Polymer Products that I pass by everyday from work e, unfortunately hindi pa ako nakakapag-tanong. Late na kasi. Sad [:(]

Honga pala, is the clear resin clear enough to make clear canopies or mejo opaque sya after curing?
