That's what I was thinking. But I don't believe he's been seen on here for upwards a year. I wouldn't want to step on his toes or anything, but I believe a 3rd would be a great, fun idea.. it would kind of be like The Godfather part III. It won't hold a candle to Parts I & II, but would still be solid.

Well there seems to be enough interst for pt III.  So as consigliere to da boss, in his absence, I will run a pt III sometime in the near future.

I hope this is the right way to post these pictures.  I posted a video but you tube took it down.  This is a revell P-61 Black Widow I did in 2012 while I was in the oil field here in Texas.  Now im married and only have time to do RC airplanes with details.

I really do need to build one of those...

Hans last post on here was Jan 8th, 2013 (hint, if you have someone on your friends list, or have had a private convo with them, they are easier to find the activity on)

I also miss the friendly Point-Counterpoint we had going,,,,,,,,,and I would hope that the kind of old Revell kits I have would still qualify for any group build that gets going (I have been terrible about finishing any group builds, though)

I will make sure to set one of my 69 cent models aside for whenever the build starts (or half of a $1.29 dual set)

A classic Revell like those old Phantoms and such will certainly be included. I am glad to see there is so much interest for Pt. III

Nice work on that P-61 Cadcyg ! Not an easy kit to build to be sure, but a favorite of mine.

My Revell 'Deal's Wheels' Messaschnitzel kit converted into a desktop fan.  Prop was mounted backwards (to blow forwards), motor mounted inside, switch was connected to the blower (slide back to turn on), AAA batteries beneath the cockpit.  Kit was simply brush-painted w/ Tamiya acrylics and futured over.  Hot glue was added to the bottom of the wheels to prevent it from shifting back.   I'll probably change it to USB power since this goes through the rechargeables pretty quickly.

Now that is cool!

Hey guys. I just finished this up in the U.S. Carrier Aircraft GB and thought I would show it here as well. I started off with a Monogram SBD kit that I built as a kid. The original boxing looks kind of like this for those of us that remember this as it was

I built mine out of the Confederate Air Force boxing which is exactly the same kit with different decals. I used a Hasegawa SBD-4 spare kit to fill in all the details in the cockpit area that the Monogram was lacking in. The gunners turret from the Hasegawa kit literally fit like it was made for it. Parts robbed were the pilots seat, control stick, rudder pedals with raised platforms for the pedals, IP, rear gun turret, guns and ammo box, main landing gear wheels, pitot tube(the Monogram one was WAY off), fixed cowl gun barrels, AM stuff consisted of PE seat belt buckles, rear gun ring sight, and Yagi radar antennas from Tom's Modelworks, rear flex gun ammo belts supplied by stikpusher (I dunno what the manufacture is), and E-Z line for the aerial antenna. Decals were a mix of the Hasegawa kit decals and Yellow Wings decals (recommended by stikpusher). Painting and weathering were the two most important things that  I concentrated on for this build. I used Vallejo acrylics with Model Master clear for the gloss and flat coats.

A word or two about the picture above and below here. I tried to replicate this paint job almost exactly the way it was on 22-C-14 from its first arrival onto the light carrier Independence. I do realize after the build is complete that I applied a roundel to the starboard wing which is inaccurate but whaddya do? It was such a fun build I decided to leave it. Why mess a good thing up?

I can't get enough of this one... it looks superb! BTW, the ammo belts are Verlinden.

Beautiful work there Tex. The Thunderstrak was one of those transitional designs bewtween the early jets and the Century series that I love the lines. Even if it had absolutely nothing in common with the F-84 Thunderjet series...
