Here is my 1/48 ICM 109 F-2 in kit form.

Mouldings look nice and crisp, very little flash. The only pain is that there are no locator pins and no part # on the sprues, just a schematic on the plans with the extremely tiny #'s.

I have painted the cockpit and sidewalls grey and will start on the pannel later this weekend , I don't see it as a complex build, just to find the time to do the thing! LOL

Rigidrider

I tried to download some photos earlier today, and it said Down load succesful and will be posted but nothing appeared and when I tried to reload it rejected as duplicate downloads... Not sure whats going on.

You need to create an account with an online service like photobucket ,( it's free),, then you can upload your pics to that account ,, click the link under the selected picture for copying the htlm code and then paste it on the entry for FSM

Geof

All the others looking great, I really like the b-17 shot in the classroom. Very cool!

 Keep them coming!

Thanks for the kudos from all who commented on my classroom build. I haven't been on the thread for a while, so I hadn't gotten to responding. We're still working on the big beauty shot for the front page. Thought I'd set it on a sky background with photoshop but I haven't gotten it to look right yet.

I must say, we've got some amazing talent around here. I can't believe the quality coming out of some of these tiny (esp. 1/72) kits!!!

I dunno----my refs are calling for a light blue nose (RLM65)...I think the white nose is fantasy...

...sweet build though!!!

I think the new 1/48 Zvezda Bf 109F has movable slats too.

Science is the pursiut of knowledge, faith is the pursuit of wisdom.  Peace be with you.

Nathan - looked at that article last night...TOTALLY did not remember seeing that before. 10 hour airbrush session? I don't think I'm going to be going that route!

Hans - Hasegawa 109s can be had for right around 15 bucks if you look in the right places.

Manstein's revenge

 Nathan T:

 Hans von Hammer:

You would be correct in dropping the flaps...109's can be seen in pics with their flaps in all manners of positions while parked...

The slats should be down if the aircraft is "parked" too, but I've never seen a kit that has the slats molded as separate parts... Is there such a kit?

Yes, all Hasegawa 109 kits have seperate slats, a simple plastic representation, but its there.

Dupes- digging up that article today for you. Stay tuned...

DITTO...the slats are all separate on the Hasegawa kits...

Ahh, thanks.. Hasegawa kits eh?  Hmm.. I'll have to check the prices, but they're probably over my personal limit for 1/48 fighters...

I love your Von Wera mount and want to shoot it down near Kent, have Von Werra captured, sent to Canada to a PoW Camp, have him escape then cross into the US, make his way to New York to the German Embassy, and then return to Germany via Souith Amnerica only to be killed testing an F model 109 over the Netherlands in 1941...
