That resin set is impressive! May have to check out Avionix as I'm not familiar with their goods.

So..   here's the latest thing I'm working on this GB-

and the Avionix resin set for the cockpit-

I've gotten some of the easy stuff assembled- flaps, stabs and what-not...

and I've painted the interiors of the two engine nacelles- I should have airbrushed these but I didn't...        I went with a natural aluminum/Fulcrum grey dividing line as I've seen on some jets.

I'll replace all of the plastic static wicks on the control surfaces with small lengths of steel rods at some point as these will all get broken off during assembly..

The wheel wells have been glued in and are masked for easy airbrushing... once I decide upon the color gray that I'll use here.

and finally, a size comparison with the recently finished MiG-21MF...

and that's all I got done the other night!

LOL!!  I'll be seeing enough of that look from my own kitties once I get home tonight with a plate of turkey....

Falconmode: Sorry I'm having trouble hunting up the paint notes I had. Frankly they were off the kit instructions so they probably were't terribly accurate though. When I get some more time I'm going to do a little more research, most of the reference books I do have are Cold War vintage and of questionable accuracy.

I'll get some photos up later today, but for the moment I must do the 'work' thing...

I am a slowly guy often  also when i'm about a kit completation i focused my attention on it, actually the little WWI spad XIII ,about 90% complete

What's the problems on photobucket, you reduce picture size before to load? Usually i upload pictures at 800x600 (or 1280x978 for finished report) with cropping too and keep original (about 4000x3000 ) only on my HD

I had problems trying to import pictures into Photobucket so no new pictures yet, but if you guys have any please send them in as we need to keep this thread alive, I have just finished a essay for university night school man and I'm knackered and it's 3.21am and hoped to see some pictures by now from you guys, Dre how about your 1/32 Mig 29M? Show us the painting options, or where in the build you are, parts whatever, bysamato, you too some excellent scratch building too lets see some more of your progress, remember this GB is better than all the others, and deserves to stay at the top of the thread so lets keep it that way people!

Yeah for ultimate straight line speed, it could only handle 4G, However in service because it was welded steel there were few panel lines, so it may not be such a hassle to paint, however I have a 10 min video of the Foxbat if you have not seen it Gamera which could prove useful I can post it if you want.

That Foxbat is huge for its scale.   I think that the Russians tried to design it with an absolute minimum of curves, just straight lines.

In fact I think you're right Dre, but Im sure it's still the sealant, as it is often smeared around the inside of the window, but perhaps it is a primer, but the primers are usually yellow. Hmm.

It's okay Tex more time now, you cannot rush a good job!

Oh yeah and let anyone who does join know it's now April 1st (and it's not an April fool lol) I decided to extend the finish date as we all seemed to stop, so I think we could use a little leeway.

Here is the M cockpit, I think the pink tint is the reflection of the pink sealant that is applied around the windows not the primer.

Huh..   I can't seem to find any good color refs of the wheel wells online (who else but modelers would want a picture of those?) and Eduard's PE set shows a light blue color on the IP...

Time to waste more time looking online...

Well the cockpit is grey, Mig 29's unlike a lot of other Russian aircraft came with grey like in the west, The wheel wells, well I have only seen them in a dark grey with lighter grey landing gear. Although I do think some of the Mig 29 family did get that odd blue/green colour most often seen in Russian aircraft.
