On The Bench: Revell 1/48 B-25 Mitchell
Married to the most caring, loving, understanding, and beautiful wife in the world. Mrs. Toshi
To my fellow forum members,
Mrs. Toshi and I have been very busy with our grandson. So this explains my absence for a few days.
This evening I got the chance to spray the P-38 with some Tamiya Gray Laqcuer Primer. You can see that the first photo is just of the P-38 without primer. The second and third photos are with primer. I will be spraying the Lightning with Model Master Chrome Silver Enamel FS17178. Thank you for the visit.
scottrc Hi Toshi, Just popping in to see ya, looking very nice. A lot of technical parts. I like how the engines are coming out. Scott

I'm going to leave the turbocharger panels off too as they look really detailed. And I'm opening up the cockpit to show off the details done. Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it.

These last several days I'd had to step back and get some much needed rest. So I decided that I'll do some bench time a little at a time. This proves tedious yet relaxing as it seems the last 250 parts are what constitutes the finality of the build.
Things attended to were the four radiator intakes at 12 pcs each and there's four. And then there are the smallest of details that take time and I just don't want to rush it. Just to finish it. At each step as usual, things must be cleaned up. So here are some of the latest photos of the lightning in it's current status. Thank you for your patience!
Looking Good Toshi. Is this a tailsitter or did they include a weight or "prop"?
Oh, it's definitely a tail sitter and not something that was included with the kit. But that's ok as I'm hanging it from my wall of fame (Planes)! LOL! Thanks for the visit!
plasticjunkie No biggie Toshi. Sometimes we miss things staring us in the face lol. Also, throw a black wash on the ammo feed belts. It will pop the detail and give a shadow line between each .50 casing.

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
plasticjunkie Toshi Looks good but will look even better if you scrape off the seams along the tops of the MGs. Touch it up after a few passes with a #11 blade.

WannabeFarmboy Great work, Toshi. It's really coming along nicely.

Thank you tempestjohny,it's going ahead of plan. Now it's to mask everything and see where this progresses. Primer and the main coat is the game plan!
Ready for the primer stage.

With the Patriots (To Brady's 5th SB Ring a record) I could only persevered to continue on my P-38 Lightning. Poor Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Oh well. I can only continue to perservere on the twin boom connection of which is the most troublesome area in all p-38 Lighning area's as far as fit and finish is concerned.
Once I can clear this hump, it's smooth sailing from here, I hope!!! So far the tape is off and everything has been smooth down and puttied.
