Toshi,

That is a lot of detail and its looking good.  Have you been testing its fit in the fuselage?  Just asking, based from experience, Murphy will always make a fuselage become 1mm shorter in diameter in relation to the expense and amount of detail put into a cockpit.Wink

Operation Jericho...the walls DID come down!!!

Yes, somewhere in this thread there is a live action YouTube video of operation Jericho.  It's really cool.  And yes, the walls did come down.  This is the aircraft I'm building.  Thank you mawright20 for stopping by!

I added Tamiya Wertherine soot to the compartments.  Due to the 7.7mm Machine Guns recoil.

All four 7.7mm Browning Machine Guns.  I'm jumping a little ahead of myself, but there are four more Hispano 20mm cannons that need to be assembled as well.  Man this thing with it's speed is ferocious!

M. Brindos

Nice, Toshi! That IP is gorgeous! Looking nice and scruffy in there.  :)

Thank M. Brindos.  I'm trying to convey a veteran Mosquito.  This aircraft that I'm building is RNZAF, No. 487 Squadron, Hundson Airfield, UK, 18 February 1944 Operation Jericho!  Thanks for the visit!

Bossman

Nice work Toshi.

The pit is built up, scuffed up, and dirtified just right.  Looks like a well worn pit.Yes

Chris

Thank you Bossman.  I'm glad you see the what I'm trying to convey.  I want to build this Mosquito as a veteran aircraft.  Thank you for stopping by.

Been a few days since I looked in on the build.  As usual, you are doing great with it.  The pit is super.

Glad to see you're taking time with it, and enjoying it.  Not your usual 3 day build of a kit, LOL!  Keep it up, look forward to more as you get deeper into it.

Thanks goldhammer.  It's a very complex kit and as you said; "Not your usual three day build".  I will definitely keep it up and continue to do so.  Thanks for taking the time out to check in on my thread!

Beautiful details so far, Toshi. Looking great.

Thanks BrandonK.  This Tamiya kit is fantastic.  It is extremely detailed.  I wouldn't think AM parts are needed, although they are available.  Thank you for the support!

Jay Jay

Beautiful job on the office there Toshi. Your sure doing justice to this amazingly detailed kit.

P.S. I do miss the seasonal changes Ohio has to offer but the hour by hour weather changes  Big Smile  and snow..faget about it

Thank you Uncle Jay Jay.  I learned from the best!  All of you forum members!  Thank you for your support in my Mosquito build.

Yes, the seasonal changes are beautiful.  Especially spring and autumn.  I like spring because everything blooms, and I love autumn for the changes in the color of the leaves.

As for the snow?  It's great for Christmas Day.  But after that, I agree with you.  It gets to you.  LOL!

Exceptional detail work, Toshi! You must have the hands of a surgeon. With diet soda or tea (HATE COFFEE) in the morning and working out at night, my hands are to jittery to even attempt the work you do. I am finally getting a Tamiya paint stand this week so I can paint with two hands, one to hold the brush and one to hold my hand to keep it from shaking so much! lol. I can't wait to see how the Mosquito turns out.

PS... You got to love Ohios weather.

Thank you so very much for the kind words.  My hands get jittery and at times my left hand goes out of control.  At times like these I just have to stop and take a break.

The Tamiya paint stand is a life saver.  It does a million and one things for me and I love it!  I remember days without it, it was a disaster!  LOL!  One of the reasons we moved from Palm Springs, California was the great kind of weather we have here in Ohio.  LOL!

Actually, my wife's sister lives here in Ashtabula, Ohio of which is an hour and fifthteen minutes drive from where we are.  That's why we moved. We actually like the seasonal changes,   it's just beautiful.

As always an awesome job Toshi, just out of curiosity do you know why there seems to be a window where the Navs headrest would be?

Thank you iampiper13.  As the build continues, there are other instrument and equipment the will be mounted to the fueselaug.  That window is needed for the Navigator to maintain that the equipment behind him is properly running.  It is from what I've read a bullet proof glass.

Thank you so much for your support, it's extremely appreciate it.
