Here is the fueselauge W/O the Frog Tape.  So far no issues.  All seams were sanded down with 1200 grit sandpaper.  Everything looks good.

I want to add that the final shot of the front end of which I utilized extra thick CA isn't really looking that bad at all.

Nothing but some sanding couldn't be fixed with.  I do have some seams to lightly sand down, so that'll be done in a few minutes.  Thank you so much my fellow FSM Forum members, for helping me and following this very important build for me!

I never hide issues in a WIP as I think that's what a WIP is supposed to be about.

As you can see, the front end gave me issues.  I used some extra thick CA to seal it up and hold it together.  Than I'll sand it up.

The rest of the fueselauge went together flawlessly.  It was amazing that the fit and finish is as so.  The front end has to be my assembly fault.

The Browning 7.7mm Machine Gun area is loosely taped as I will be displaying the front end open.

Fueselauge all glued up with Tamiya Extra Thin Cement and held together with Frog Tape, except the front end.  The front end is taped up with Tamiya Tape as I don't know how long it's supposed to be left on.

Assembly #15 & #16

i have the choice to leave the front nose open to display the Browning 7.7mm Machine Guns.  Am I going to close it up?  Hell no!  LOL!

I'm going to open it up so I temporarily taped it up as the direction shows at the bottom of the page.

Keyda81

Moving right along I see, looks great Toshi!

Thank you Keyda81.  I'm trying my best with this kit.  There are some areas where it does slow me down.  That's when I need a break.  Usually, it's Mrs. Toshi that tells me to stop.

Aren't the wives always right?  LOL!  It's always the husbands fault.  LOL!  But that's ok, I always say yes.  It keeps the peace in the house.

I think tomorrow I'll close up the fueselauge and that should start the assembly of the Rolls Royce Supercharaged V-12 Merlin Engines.  I'm looking forward to that.

I hope you'll be following that progression.  Thank you so very much for your kind words and the read and replies!

'43 Mike - It was 72 and mostly clear here in Hooterville, (Springfield,) when I meant to joke with Toshi.

Long history in Oregon, other than some long, dreary and wet days in winter, I agree it's a special place to live.

What's wrong with riff raff??? Everyone has to live somewhere, just not near me.

Toshi

To Greg,

I wanted to add that dry fitting the fueselauge, wings, etc. will help in any alignment issues and or warpage.  Gaps would be extremely visible so it's easy to mentally or physically mark with a pen or pencil the gaps at hand. I hope this helps!

Toshi

That makes sense, and thanks for taking to time to point it out, Toshi.

Not a problem, it's my pleasure.

The mailman just dropped off at the box, gotta get my parka and snowshoes on to go get it.

And it's going to be 81 and sunshine somewhere near you tomorrow. Just a moment whilst I fetch my violin to play Hearts and Flowers, Cap'n. Stick out tongue

Seriously, can you or Toshi send one of those 80-something days to N Indiana?

Toshi, don't think I ever though to mask fuselage halves together to dry/test fit. Such a simple idea, thank you. (If I already said that over in the GB, sorry, my brain is gone)

LOL!  I'll be happy to send you some 80 degree weather your way.

I noticed that several of the pro forum members doing this so I thought it'll be a good idea to do so myself.  I've been doing it since the end of last year.  I'm glad that I could pass something like this a long.
