Super weak! Black Eye [B)]
I just found out that the upstairs bathroom in my house is going to be remodeled and wont end till March! I am going to have to evacuate my modeling area till they are done and set up a flimsy tabel in my mom's office! This could delay me even more! Dead [xx(]Disapprove [V]

Ohh No Scuba. Any chance they can set you up with a couple of saw horses and a sheet of plywood?

I had an autistic moment tonight. I started looking at parts and checking fit etc. and suddenly blanked. Too much anticipation I guess. I'm going to hit it tomorrow night after work. I'll feel refreshed and be able to give it a good start.

Robert or Ron, interior color of Canadian Shermans? Off white?

Got started yesterday might, a good 3 hours before the official starting time, and I have the wheels and the hull built already. Of course, the hull (the back anyway!) will need a major surgery before it looks anything like what the Ambutank does. The wheels are still not glued and will not be until that 'back job' is completed.

Start my engine? It ain't even on the test stand yet! Why doesn't somebody tell me about these inspections!? Why don't they issue my equipemnt on time! What th' heck is going on here!

Oh... lost my head.

Shhhhh! (that means " shhhh...quiet" not "sh--"... okay?) Don't tell anybody, but I brought my tank into... gasp... (work) today. I spent the last few days getting my student related work done during my prep time so I can clean up the hull and turret on my Sherman today. shhh....

SCUBABOY99.... I still build on a little 'work board' that I can stow under a dresser or someplace. It sits in my lap or on a table and works pretty well for little assemblies and such. Of course, growing up in a small house, I had to work that way since I was a wee lad.

Tamiay 105 version it is... I got a little done while the mud was drying on my Panther. I am gonna use an Academy interior tub and some scratchbuilt interior pieces for a KO'd tank. I have the Verlinden detail set and Armor Research fenders. Its a project that I was gearing up to do later, but now is as good a time as any...huh...

Yes Build, you're right! Today is indeed Bring your Tank to School Day! Whow, I just didn't see it on my calendar!

Mike,

The tank has to be in a small, two hand transportable, box and not able to fire any rounds... also if it sets off the metal detector that's a bad thing.Big Smile [:D]

Of course, I'd imagine you could park your 1/1 Sherman in the lot as long as it has rubber tracks and a demilled main gun and secondary armament.... IF you get the Principal's permission.

Today's my wife's birthday so I started a little last night. cleaned up wheels, sprockets, bogies, thinned the track guides, cleaned up and built lower hull. I'm still waiting for delivery of my photoetch kit. Getting my AFV Club M3A3 kit today, and I'm going to start working on an M5 conversion with a Tamiya M3 turret (any suggestions from you regular US tank modellers on that?). Still need a diorama base and to decide whether or not to modify the Tamiya figures, or get new ones (suggestions?).

Guess I'll be getting a late start on this one. I'm sure I'll take at least the rest of the month to get the Panther close to being done. I thought this build was starting after the Panther finished up. Probably one of the many posts I've missed along the way. Oh well, to the rest of you...Tally Ho...The Game's Afoot!!

Robert, in a review of the new DML Firefly, I read that a more accurate track for this puppy would be a T-54. Any idea if anyone makes/has in stock this guy? I think Friul makes a version of it, but I'm not positive it's the right one and it isn't in stock anyway! Or is there another track that would be accurate also?

Thanks, and have a great day.

well i finally got everything taken care of (police) so now im ready to get started, looking at Friday to really get started, and this seems to be mainly a weekend project cause classes and ncaa athletics consume so much time, but i plan on squeezing a couple nights in to get the model worked on. My Revolutionary America class and Civil War and Reconstruction are going to take up a lot of time though.
